I''m pretty sure that was just a joke. Lindsay and Spoony never seemed to be particularly close. Aside from the crossover movies they also didn't live anywhere close to each other or hang out together.

Nella is also bi, and Elisa is bi ace, as a married (to a man, well, Paw) woman with kids. That whole group is whatever identity will get them laid or paid. Elisa is hilarious though, as on asexual awareness day, she went on about how she isn't attracted to her husband at all. I'd feel bad for him but nah.

Even in the best of times the strongest will always be mocked or feared(with good reason). Its a fantasy to assume that somehow the rest of the world would be friendly towards the US if 'x was done'. Its actually one reason why the Founding Fathers tried to keep the US out of european politics to an extent. Once you're in you can never get out and eventually it does consume you. There's a reason why countries like Sweden or Switzerland actually have a higher standard of living. They avoided trying to get involved in everything and fight endless battles that honestly will never end.
