He may not, but if he seems to see them as friends to some degree. There is a part of his audience, which does crossover, who see ER and Dick's actions as repugnant. So perhaps he should give people like ER and Dick advice as a friend or something in private. Or just say to the audience, 'I would never do these things, they aren't right, but they are my friends, and I'm not a fair weather friend. I want to help them if I can' or something. Because right now it just seems like evasion and guntguarding for grifting purposes - even if he privately disapproves.

Nick interpreted that as consent for Andy to say his piece. Then Tonka obviously backtracked on the idea of not having anything to say to Andy.

This was after more than TWO AND A HALF HOURS of completely civil conversation in which Tonka was given more than enough opportunity to explain his side of the story to Nick and everybody. All the while, Andy was begging Nick through DMs to be let on, but Nick held off until he could wrestle an answer out of Tonka.

There's actually two interesting stream-based perspectives of that stream, and the one that all the Killstream knuckleheads were on basically proves it wasn't an ambush. Certainly not a planned one.
