I didn't really have a problem with rgb other than the fact that I thought she was retarded for staying on the court like she was going to live forever lol, but I have to say that as dark as it is I'm glad she died when it would create the largest avalanche of salt and tears.

People are fucking losing it and I'm just sitting here like :story: .

I'm pretty sure that if mandatory retirement or term limits for SCOTUS members were introduced (and they should be) they would not apply to the currently serving Justices, only to those who were appointed after the legislation passed.

I love how they think voter fraud is a voting right.

Good luck amending Article III to eliminate one of its core provisions.

I've always thought that equating "during good behaviour" with lifetime tenure was a strange interpretation.

It's fairly obvious that's what they intended, though. First, it would have been entirely possible to assign a term of years, as other offices like the Presidency and Congress have fixed terms. Second, much of Article III was drafted with the Federalist Papers in mind, and Hamilton in Federalist No. 79 vigorously resisted arguments in favor of age limits for Article III judges.

It is intended to avoid radical changes in the law based on whoever morons elect to the other branches.
