Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

I am leaning toward Wolf-fucker being the bigger prima dona/teacher's pet who is more insufferable to work with. And Pedro deciding it is better to do a "coyote" to his career and reputation then to continue working there.

This reminds me of when Kim Basinger shitcanned her career for almost a decade to get out of doing a lousy fetish horror movie (Boxing Helena).

I think it's more likely that there was tensions with Pascal, he was told it wasn't necessary to film on set(it isn't), and he did the rest of his stuff with voice over work.

He is still probably attached to Mandalorian. But, whether he will film on set on a consistent basis is probably tenative from this point on...

I REALLY have hard time believing that if Pascal was fired: why was it not even remotely mentioned in the trades?

Again, I think the rumor has nuggets of truth. But, I don't think it's accurate on the whole...

Only positive I can really give at the moment is that the trailer at least looked more like SW than the last 6 dismal years of content. The aliens were on point, no foreskin freaks, the architecture and visuals are also on point.

In terms of visuals, my only grievance is that once again they seem to be over relying on the same set of ships and vehicles like the Disney Trilogy did for the two main factions despite the Empire's wide array of vehicles in old material.

Hell since they're on a water planet, now would be a good time to bring back the turtle walkers.

But did they really need to bring back Hoth again? That planet's been milked to death at least in old canon. Then again this could just be another donut steal. Regardless, its looking to be Filoni wankfest, but if they're at least smart enough to put this in its own continuity separate from the Disney Trilogy, then there might be something salvageable here.

Anyway, in other news:

1: Part of the shitty new Vader comic got leaked on purpose along with the High Republic one as a promotional thing, however they haven't been colored in yet. True to their claims, the comic would serve as an obnoxious tie-in to Plan IX where Vader goes to meet the "Oracle" from the deleted scene from IX that was leaked on 4chan who tells Emo Ren where to go. In other words, the comic's whole purpose is to explain what the wayfinder is and how Kylo Ren found it because Marvel's sole purpose is to try and fill up IX's plot holes while offering nothing original or entertaining in return.

Spider Bitch is even uglier than in the concept art. In short the whole thing is an "arc" that will tie-in to IX and feature a cameo by Kylo Ren or some bullshit like that because they don't want us to forget their travesty. They also brought back to the land of the living that Filoni OC villain from Aladdin's Rebels as a Sith Wraith specter cuz you know this is how they're gonna keep milking Maul and Filoni's beloved Savage Opress among others.

2: Wookieepedo refuses to add Ridley's revelation about nothing being planned to their site along with any other leaks. The only exception being the Aphra, Vader and High Republic shit because those leaks are corporate approved. And this used to be a site that would even post criticisms and inconsistencies back in the day, but can't let you offend Daddy Mommy Disney now can we?

3: Here are some pages from the High Republic comic's first issue, with the cover featuring the girl with ugly cowpie hair named after Karen Traviss and the blonde girl with a costume redesign.

The comic apparently features references to other Marvel shit, including Aphra-sue and the Lando Landonis comics via aliens and locations. Story starts off on the planet of the ximpi pixies that Aphra and Landonis met once. Edit: And yes they traced Olivia Munn's face.

4: The official Galaxy's Edge VR game trailer and teasers came out two days ago and hilariously enough no one gave a shit, with the videos in question not even being able to break past 20k and 5k views. The trailer also features R2 and 3PO as the guides of the park despite having no presence within the actual park itself.
In contrast to the Mandalorian trailer which is at 7 million views, this is a pretty notable drop here. Even the Sims GE update got hate views at least.

5: Speaking of the Mandalorian show, Boba's jetpack is being carried by the main character at one point which makes me think he's going to be kept dead for Wendig's OC or what's-his-face is going to try and find Boba.

6: Had some spare time today so I decided to take a crack at making Disney's foreskin aliens look like familiar ones or fit in better with the setting.

7: Should I continue the Cosmic Shitpost/lore dump now or should I wait for the Mando S2 talk to blow over? And if anyone missed the last one let me know if you need a link.
Oh, and before I've completely let Zahn off the hook, he also made the inexplicably-retarded decision to retcon the name "Skywalker" to mean "Wayfinder" in the Chiss language.

Of course they won't make new ships, because the only arrow they have left that might still work sometimes are the OT vehicles that make people clap brainlessly like babies. Fuck turtle walkers and that EU shit, the only times you need something new is if you get a promo from a car company. Also fuck creating new planet ideas, just keep making fucking desert and ice planets.

Seriously, the Porsche thing was so pathetic. At least the Ruin Bombers felt kind of Star Wars'ish in the sense I could buy them as converted cargo freighters for shorter hauls.

And I still heartily believe that Wookiepedia should just be honest and reveal it's a subsidiary of LFL and Disney. It's goddamn obvious its chief editors work with idiots like PorgCuck or are members of their marketing staff. It's been since they had accounts on 24/7 to keep the party line intact for what their branch of corporate thinks is important. Since it's the comics wing is the likely branch, that's why Aphra is protected to hell.

Seriously, they're as independent as Rotten Tomatoes, another Disney subsidiary in all but name.

Are you sure it's Hoth? It seemed to me, given the plot, it was Ilum...

Is that a traced picture of Olivia Munn in the last panel?

I don't think that's a decision to be made at Wookieepedia, it probably goes all the way up to Wikia/Fandom and how they enable and encourage their wikis to become PR/marketing arms instead of actually useful sources of information from fans. Hell, they probably make money from this by making sure traffic gets steered their way. Wikia/Fandom are some greedy fucks who don't give a shit about either the autists who make the wiki or the people who read the wiki, hence why their wikis are utterly covered in ads and auto-playing videos.

The fact that they all became one amalgamated wiki through the Fandom site instead of having each wiki be its own thing goes to show that most, if not all of them exist to be glorified advertisements for the series they represent. So no shit, covering said wikis in ads and auto-playing videos isn't that much of a stretch, considering how they consider it all to be one big fat ad campaign anyways.

It is yeah. I forgot to point it out but ts been getting some talk, although most talking about this are shills and they'll just ignore Olivia. Marvel's been tracing shit constantly, as such I expect this comic to also steal a lot of fan designs too alongside the blatant tracing. There's actually videos that I've posted before even from Disney shills upset by this blatant theft.

Possible too since Ilum was an important jedi world, but considering that they probably want to make this appeal to the OT purists, they might just make it Hoth. Although if it is Ilum they have the decency to depict Ilum without a big planet-spanning artificial canyon in it, I think its safe to say they were smart and put the Mandalorian in its own continuity separate from Disney shit, but that feels unlikely since Filoni likes the Disney Trilogy garbage.

I got mad about this. But I was angrier about Order 66 episodes.
Utapau Arc was a miss opportunity to be finished and to be added. It probably just me thinking about this, like there couple of thing we could've seen Grievous do in one of the Season like leading his droid army against the clones on the battlefield in the Filoni Wars, but instead they gave us a bunch of repeatedly duel with Obi-Wan with the same ending, randomly throwing him against a Plot Armor Jedi and putting him in random episode like Heroes on Both Side and Shadow Warrior that out of place for him.

This what I would love to imagine and see him on the battlefield in the Filoni Wars.

The way I see it, Grievous should have been the Confederacy's equivalent to Zhuge Liang from China's Three Kingdoms era: a great tactical genius of a general who was wise enough to see through most of his enemies' tricks, but he nonetheless failed in his overall mission because fate (or in this case, logistics) was not on his side. In this idealized version of the story, one year before the end of the war, General Grievous would be winning battles in the name of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and his victories would be causing immense damage to the Republic forces left and right. Grievous would spend a huge chunk of the latter era of the Clone Wars besieging Republic Mid-Rim and Core Worlds, causing the Republic to fall into chaos while they appoint one Jedi Supreme Commander after another in vain attempt to try and stop him. When the Jedi Council and the Senate finally appoints Obi-Wan Kenobi as the new Jedi Supreme Commander (over the Chancellor's protests that they should have appointed Anakin Skywalker) we begin to see the rivalry between him and Grievous take shape. Grievous relies on surprise attacks, encirclement, ambushes, and rapid-assaults led by droid shocktroops, while Kenobi relies on Fabian tactics where his forces focus on strengthening defenses, cutting Grievous' supply lines leading back to Confederate space, shooting down droid ships before they can land their massive armies, setting up planetary shields to prevent droid invasions/bombardments of Republic worlds, and relying on the superior firepower of Republic Venators and Acclamators to decimate Grievous' ships and repel invading droid fleets.

The two of them spend months playing cat and mouse against one another, making up plans to entrap the other, trying to catch the other unaware, even resorting to finding ways to get the other guy in trouble with his government, or finding ways to outright kill the other guy off. This constant game of cat and mouse reaches its climax when Grievous, after having lost so many ships and droids, finally has Kenobi ensnared in an inescapable trap, only for Anakin or something else to save Kenobi and utterly crush Grievous' plans, leading to the weakened and battered Confederate fleet finally retreating from Republic space, and the Republic counter-invading the CIS, which leads to the Outer Rim Sieges. The two have a brief confrontation in the Battle of Coruscant where Grievous swears to make Kenobi pay for all the losses he suffered at the hands of the Jedi. Then, when Grievous meets Obi-Wan in Utapau, and the two engage in a duel, Grievous finally relishes in the the opportunity to take revenge on the one man who ruined his military career, and he goes all-out against Obi-Wan, which Kenobi uses to against him, allowing Grievous to be blinded by his anger, which gives Kenobi an opening to kill him in their duel.

That's how the Supreme Commander of the Droid Army should have gone down, in my opinion.
