A seat on the SCOTUS isn't something which can be disposed of according to your wishes following your death. She had the opportunity to ensure that her replacement was appointed by a Democratic President and she didn't take it. Nobody owes her a do-over.

Over the last thirty years, civics and classes on basic bitch "how government works" stuff have been phased out; in particular in the last 20 years as victims of No Child Left Behind fucking up curriculum standards.
In the 1990s, I only had a single Civics class and that was in eighth grade. And most of it was padded with local state history and local geography crap.
Because the lunatic left and the anti-life brigade don't actually fucking GET the point of Cyberpunk. Which is to say that they think it should be all sunshine, lollipops and identity politics running free with high end tech we've been dreaming about (VR, flying cars, body swapping, vanity cybernetics) with them as part of the elites, if not the upper middle class bourgeoisie who don't have to deal with the really bad shit that the prols will have to deal with unless they get bored and start slumming, with the full knowledge that there will be no consequences and that the prols will treat them the same way ethnic scrappy type cliched characters treat white people in jungle narratives (IE worshipping the SJW elites/bourgeoisie as their superiors and happy for whatever high tech scraps they let them play with in exchange for absolute loyalty). And that any corporation doing bad shit is right wing and not representative of the actual corporate world, which is fully committed to the left and the anti-life gospel as far as "bad corrupt corporations=right wing".
The irony is that cyberpunk is more alt right than SJW when you get down to it. Most protagonists are people on the fringe of society and/or people who used to be SJW until they got burnt BAD by the SJW dystopian regime and cast out of the elites for saying or doing something that offended the lunatic lefties/corporate overlords who rule by painting the illusion that everything is utopian but which is pure propaganda to the people who actually live in the hellscape megacities the elites rule. It's also extremely xenophobic (granted towards Asians) due to the fact that cyberpunk was born as a genre when Asia and Japan was on the rise (with Japan often painted as the big bad who owns most of the corporations that are the big bad) and the fact that most of the protagonists are tech savy outcasts who fit the 4chan/Kiwifarms stereotype of professional shitposters/online researchers who spend their days brokering information that normies are too lazy to look up or research on their own due to them not bothering to look beyond the corporate media.

The funny thing about the "create new states to rig the Senate in the DNC's favor" scheme is that if they open that door, then they'll be hit with the predominant conservative regions of Washington, Oregon, New York, and California, demanding that they be allowed to have their own states in moves to basically castrate with garden hedge clippers, those states as far as reducing them to small liberal states with boundaries that barely go outside the helltropolises of LA, San Fran, Portland, NYC, etc and the creation of multiple new conservative leaning states that would reliably vote Republican.
