They sent Trump a package of Ricin just yesterday.
Bit late, someone else brought that up and I'll repeat ti here. That has all the hallmarks of a nutter over a serious assassination attempt. Anyone who thinks about it longer than 10 seconds will realize such an attempt has a literally 0% chance of working. I'd expect a serious assassination attempt to have at least A chance to succeed.

Oh THAT. When I hear people casually mention that they want the President to be assassinated, I get upset. I don't think they realize the severe ramifications that would happen if an act would happen. For ANY US President.

Social collapse, economy disaster, martyr fantastics. A world leader being assassinated is just asking for long term trouble in this day and age.

Neither society nor the economy collapsed when JFK was shot.... yes, it'd bring turmoil and raise international tensions, but dial those expectations back a bit.... the economy isn't hooked to a dead man's handle that runs through the President's heartbeat... and if he dies, hidden demo charges don't start taking out key bits of infrastructure....

Also, both GWB and Obama had ricin sent to the White House during their administrations. It's pretty much the standard incompetent assassination plot technique at this point.

Too much blackpill? I'm sorry.

I'm just saying, I don't understand why people would just WISH that causally. It's insanity.

While that is true, if it turned out the DNC knew anything about it, the following purge would make the current riots look like a little girl's tea party.

Y-yeah. Haha. That’d be real s-stupid if that were the case.

The UK has one MP for (roughly) every 92,000 people, or 68,000 electors. Oddly enough, the UK Parliament has hovered around the 600-650 mark since the 1820s and usually has some slight changes up or down when dictated. The biggest change was the elimination of University Seats and "double" seats, where two MPs would be elected for a single seat back in 1950.

Current proposals are to move to 100,000 people in every seat.

Strangely, polls are reporting his seat is on a knife edge. So it's exactly the kind of thing Lindsey needs to shove and energise his own base that little bit more.

Oh look, another one where they start playing the numbers game. They tried this bullshit in the UK too to try and delegitimize the Brexit Referendum. Mostly because "only" 16% of the population actually voted for Brexit and thus its totally not a majority opinion! No you're the minority here!

They tended to shut up when you point out by that logic absolutely no government ever would be valid because "the majority of people didn't vote for it". It's why we do shit on a turnout basis. It's why the US does things representationally because otherwise the whole union would be dictated by ruinous Californian policies that'd probably see Idaho and Wyoming perpetually on fire and New York wondering why their grocery stores wouldn't get restocked.
A non-EC America might be like that time in the 1790s when Paris seized dictatorial control over all of France.

I can see and understand your argument, but I don't necessarily agree that the ineptitude of the attempt eliminates the possibility a deliberate assassination attempt.

If I've learned anything from watching the past several months of rioting, it's that the far left has no idea how shit actually works in the real world. I've seen them make "phalanxes" in the streets of Seattle that get battered aside instantly, because ANTIFA has no idea how a real phalanx works. Rioters trying to burn down the Portland Courthouse bring leaf blowers to blow tear gas back at the cops, but the shitty glorified hair drier they got can barely blow leaves around, let alone tear gas. I've lost count of how many times idiots burned their hands trying to throw back tear gas canisters, because they didn't know they would be hot, or how many rioters have blocked roads and interstates only to be surprised when they get hit by cars.

Maybe violent political action and insanity go hand in hand, but just because the attempt was inept doesn't rule out political motivation. Look at that guy who got shot thinking he could one man army an ICE facility for a text book example of what I'm talking about.

I think they put it in a jar labelled "Metamucil" for Sleepy Creepy Uncle Joe, and he's been happily swilling it down for years. Which would explain oh so much.

Nancy Pelosi’s cognitive health as of this morning

And Joe's been clearly sharing his "Metamucil" around quite a bit.
