QCS had a thread discussing the state of D&D, particularly the quality of discourse surrounding American politics. It got locked after 9 pages of increasingly angry invective, and it was a damn treat to follow.
Mostly because it almost instantly turned into people complaining that the people with Wrong Opinions, such as people who didn't like Joe Biden, weren't getting banned fast enough.
Fame Douglas, for instance, was very quick to point out that he had an issue with all of D&D, not just those FUCKING NOJOE CHUDS SHITTING EVERYTHING UP. He had to point that out very specifically to assure everyone that he wasn't targeting any particular political opinion.
While Slanderer was very eager to debate and discuss what opinions should be probatable in Debate & Discussion. Justice never sleeps.
And Seven Hundred Bee also made it clear in a series of posts that he had an issue with the entire culture of D&D, which included the constant problem of not being able to use specific threads to talk about HOW BERNIE SANDERS FUCKING SUCKS AND RUINED EVERYTHING FOR US.
Harold Fjord kindly suggests that the rules be carefully relaxed so as to not punish people who call out others for holding extreme, absolutely reprehensible opinions such as defending genocide. Defending genocide, by the way, takes place any time a person casts their vote for the man who looks like a rotten tangerine instead of for the man who looks like a rotten cantaloupe.
Things only get better once Pick shows up and starts very calmly and reasonably discussing the situation to THOSE RETARDS WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND STATEMENTS OF FACT.
Booourns has a fantastic suggestion for improving the quality of D&D: Wordfilters to fuck with people who try to express any opinion that he does not entertain.
FartingBedpost and Vincent Van Goatse both agree that effortposts should be verboten in D&D. After all, limited post length is what makes political discussions so productive and stimulating over on Twitter.
Gradually the thread deteriorates, as more and more people talk about specific political topics, such as the recent demise of Ginsburg. Ginsberg? Dunno. I forget dead people's names faster than the cast of Teen Girl Squad did.
Pick is also quickly pointed out as being full of shit, as nobody would dare call Ginsburger a cunt, only the far less offensive "stinkyhole."
