Oh yeah that makes sense since it's a medical personnel app. But wow, it almost feels relieving to see medical proof that she's been full of shit for years.

It also would clearly explain why her legs were healing in the hospital and have gotten so much worse since the pandemic started and her wound care appointments became less frequent. I know this is all information we've pieced together through the nuggets of truth scattered in her lies, but seeing her medical professionals also see through it is heartening.

Being her doctor must be so fucking annoying.

She's not in mental health related inpatient. It's for wound care, purely medical. The fact that this doctor is asking for help tells me it's a new case for him- I don't think she's getting much continuity of care. She's doctor hopping as much as she's able.

I don't know if she has been told she's doing it by the doctors. They tend not to inform people directly that they're "on to them". She's probably trying to keep up the pretense there too.

Bechet and anemia are not mentioned in the request for ideas. No blood disorders are mentioned at all.

What possible reason could she have for doing this? Is she just carving scabs off to expose the bone again and make it look more severe for her followers? I cannot imagine the mindset it would take to go at your fucking exposed bones with a scraper like you're making sausages, this has gone beyond all bounds of compulsive picking or munchie wound infection into violent self-loathing insanity.

Fascinating and appalling that the wound care specialist, who you know has seen some shit, is looking at her case like he can't even figure out where to begin.

At this point it seems more like trying to repair a shotgun blast than just patching up a bullet hole. You can't turn a hamburger patty back into living cow.

I assume that any surgical intervention would involve debridement down to healthy tissue, then slapping a layer of skin on top of that, but can they put a skin graft over exposed bone? Is the hard black area a scab or is it just desiccated muscle tissue, i.e. human jerky, and can they put a graft on that or is it more stable as is? Can circulation to her feet ever be properly restored, or is it like the beetus where foot loss is more about when than if? Speaking of blood flow, what are the odds on her accidentally ripping into an artery and bleeding out?

I cannot fathom the amount of pain that she has inflicted upon herself. It looks like it would be agonizing to exist with those awful wounds, and yet she keeps going with it.

She willingly goes to the hospital because it's part of her attention seeking behavior. Munchies like her enjoy being taken care of by doctors and nurses just as much as they enjoy all the pity and concern from friends and strangers.
She doesn't want to get better. If she really wanted to, she could have just stopped messing with her wounds and they would have healed beautifully. Her first skin grafts looked amazing when she was still in hospital. It's quite obvious by how she describes her fucked up legs in great detail that she loves being the main attraction of her own little freak show. She never seems genuinely distressed about her condition. Sometimes she says stuff like "omg my legs look so bad", but only because she wants to clickbait people into looking at them.

I can't even imagine how fucked in the head you have to be to do what she's doing to herself. This is not some psychotic break or self-harm episode, she's been consistently and continuously tearing herself apart, piece by piece. And on top of that she used to do ballet as a hobby. That adds a whole new layer of masochism to her self-destruction, as if the constant pain, swelling, discomfort, limited mobility and physical deformity was not bad enough already. Imagine you paint as a hobby, and cut off your dominant hand, piece by piece, one finger digit every month.

I can't imagine a situation where the medical team wouldn't be onto her shit considering the extent and circumstances of her wounds. Compartment syndrome is incredibly painful, but it's also not surprising given how much she's mutilated herself. I am surprised they're even considering a third round of skin grafts for someone like her. She's already had two chances at skin grafts and ruined them both times.

I think from an ethical point of view they’re in an impossible situation. They can’t not help her, the question is, can they justify amputation over more skin grafts?

(I mean of course they can, and I expect they will, but they have to present a really watertight case in favour of chopping a young woman’s legs off).

It's on fig1 app. please do not fuck with this guy or bother him. he's not breaking the law by asking there, but it's purposely difficult to get screen shots. I've cut out his name and hospital affiliation. he's got two other leg amputations on his cases list. the replies are boring. nurses seem to be saying to supervise and treat and doctors/surgeons say just lop em off. there are no photos on the case. it's text only.

Probably a preemptive arm amputation would be the most beneficial to prevent, or at least delay, future damage via "picking".

She needs to be institutionalized. It's insane to me that someone this mentally ill and self harming isn't living in a facility permanently. I'm going to guess that the cost of all this futile medical care for her gross legs far outweighs what it would have cost to keep her in a supervised environment with mental health treatment and a ban on social media to prevent or at least mitigate the severe picking in the first place.

That, and she's not an immediate threat to herself. It's slow. She's not got a suicide plan. It's hard to commit someone who's not actively violent. Hers is a passive thing that takes time.
