However, based on what we saw in his emails the plan pitched to 505 was roughly "release demo, bugfix for a month, then do crowdfunding". We're coming up on a month since the demo was released, crowdfunding was mentioned at the end of the demo...but otherwise, no real sign of it so far, other than this:

I wonder if Alex changed his pitch, 505 made him change his pitch, or if recent events have made 505 reconsider their partnership and Alex is on his own now.

I wouldn't give the lack of "and then kickstarter" talk much consideration at the moment. If 505 is taking the reigns of it and its marketing as they indicated, it is very likely they've just told Alex to shut the fuck up about it less he start talking about portions of it they really do not want to have him fuck up, like stretch goals and timelines. I'd wait a few months, and if he starts dropping devlogs of rival two, then we know shit is afoot.

However, that proves my old point - if two years ago people were laughing at Alex mostly here and on subreddits, today his hatewagon is going mainstream. The first sign of this was the creation of The Rise and Fall of Yandev, which for all it's issues was a decent crash course on Alex's history. Then Kappa, then the Right Opinion. These videos got views, so more and more people are going to create videos on Alex. The Public opinion on him is shifting further and further, so even after the release of his "demo" YT search bar is the best indication what people are interested in at the moment:

Public doesn't want to play his game anymore, they want to see his latest fuck-ups. And there is barely any way back from this even for the functioning human being (even though, he wouldn't be there in the first place), but for Alex it's just the end. With his attitude he will just give more and more fuel for that side of YT and they will gladly leech from him. I mean, if his hatedom is already giving us cows like Apedois and Gameslut, he was more than right with this one:
