#1 trend in the US right now

It really is disgusting. These fucking retards are taking the orders of the very people who decide when the lockdown ends and treating them like the fucking ten commandments. The lockdowns are not here because of magic paper masks and the evil goblins not wanting to wear them. They continue because people in power say so. Now they have loyal hordes of attack dogs barking at their own families free of charge.

Pepole are no longer just sheep to me. They're like sheep with rabies or bovine with mad cow. Capable of some degree of deductive survival based reasoning on their own, but VIOLENTLY rejecting of anything that questions the wisdom of the herd. People have gone so far as to attack people who wont wear an ineffectual paper mask.

If theres any movie I feel more and more like I am living in, its Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I'm a big fan of history and when I look at people back then compared to now? It's like the pods invaded sometime after 2000 and it's been a slow but steady replacement of humanity since then. If the latest trend on social becomes pointing at people and unleashing a animalistic scream while keeping your eyes wide open then I am running off into the woods forever.

Alright. I just mostly feel tired and sore. I feel a little lightheaded and find it somewhat difficult to maintain concentration when I'm trying to read. My eyes hurt when I move them and my body just kind of aches. Just sort of a dull ache throughout my entire body. That and I have a persistent dry cough.

All in all, it could be worse. It's certainly different from being sick with something like the flu. I'm not physically ill or vomiting and I don't have a stuffy nose or sore throat. Just the cough and the aching eyes and body.

I recommend taking Vitamin D. 4000 IU a day is safely tolerated, and a very substantial number of people in first-world countries have Vitamin D deficiency and don't even realize it.

It's like the pods invaded sometime after 2000 and it's been a slow but steady replacement of humanity since then.

It is a distinct possibility.

We need to bring back medieval punishments for each and every one of these elitist politicians who lives by the rules for thee but not for me mentality. Here we have Governor Tim Walz attending a vigil in Minneapolis for fucking RBG with several hundred attendees and standing without a mask near non-family members. He currently limits events to 250 people and was swinging his dick around when Trump came to Bemidji last week, warning Trump not to disobey the tyrant‘s orders. Spoiler: Trump did not listen.

Local press saying there were “several hundred people gathered”.

The same press when challenged says “Shut up peasant, they took their masks off right before speaking!”

The people do not give a shit about the masks because Walz is still at an event with more attendees than his orders allow. Press lady disappears from the conversation.

A state legislator has a good question. Pedophiles are protected in Minnesota while businesses get fined for not following unilateral mandates. Why is that?

Meanwhile, Governor Walz wonders why the entire state, including the suburbs, outside of Minneapolis and St. Paul feel this way about him.

It's a perfect study in how totalitarian regimes emerge and stay stable. Just look at classic experiments like The Third Wave. You have your political clothing (a mask), you have your slogans ("stay at home", "I don't wear it for me, I wear it for your safety!"), you have your propaganda (government sponsored billboards, celebrities, etc.), you have fear of an enemy external (the virus) and an enemy internal (people who don't comply with the "health orders"), and you have a promised utopia for everyone (the virus is eliminated) that requires society to be restructured (the "New Normal").

It's really the perfect sort of totalitarianism for today's society, since it expressly caters to slacktivism. Just wear a cheap facemask and spend all day posting on Twitter and you're doing your part! And then do a bit of simple Stasi-work in informing on your fellow citizens and you've gone above and beyond in making sure the New Normal stays Normal!

Really curious how even the bigwig big companies are going to feel post-holiday season. Remember, we're soon approaching what's normally the most lucrative time of year for most businesses of all sizes, the time when many make it from the red to the black in terms of profits.

With the sheer magnitude of people out of work and the inevitable reduction of travel in terms of visiting family and friends (which translates to even less buying of goods because why purchase gifts and make extravagant meals for people you aren't going to see this year), really gotta wonder how hard the sting is going to be felt.

Collecting child porn is practically legal there? Well I know where I'm moving to next! As far away from there as possible.

And some hippies who denounced the consumerism for Christmas will not practice what they preach.

A lot of people would ask the same question. Imagine a meme of the sceptical kid wondering "business in Minnesota got fined for not following mandades but pedophiles are protected?"

My BS detector was set off by this, partially because of the use of the term "erotica," which is disgusting but free speech, and the odd phrasing of "collecting CP on a work computer."

There's the article, and it's got a bias. 149 images of CP on his phone, 1082 files of "child erotica" (which again, is nothing). It specifically calls out 1 image on his phone, which makes me wonder if the 148 other images weren't actionable.

Looks like two separate judges let him walk, first with no bail despite the investigator saying he was a threat, and one who let him do a "stay of imposition" (basically, probation/plea deal). This is apparently not uncommon in MN.

Could be a very grim Christmas for retailers. Could also be the tipping point that causes stores like Sears and JCPenney to go under for good. Expect large-scale Christmas toy/food drives all over the country. Remember, this is all due to states' little Hitlers acting deliberately and maliciously on these statewide house arrests. The people pay for the power trip.

Just saw this. Some interesting graphs and charts.

He was convicted of CP, end of. He should have had his brain sucked out with a vacuum hose while still conscious then raped to death by a jack hammer.

Estimates I've seen is that Christmas spend will be down 40-60% depending on location. That's assuming there won't be yet more restrictions in the winter.

Mask mandate extended to November 21st here in Wisconsin. Just announced today, so expecting backlash. Also our County Health Commissioner resigned and her last day was today. She'd appear in Zoom live pressers early on in the pandemic wearing shimmer gold blush (ah my eyes!) and once even wore some weird gold headband thing like some Egyptian goddess. I posted a pic somewhere, hilarious. Anyway, after declaring racism as a public health emergency and displaying bizarre makeup and accessory choices for television appearances, this oreo jumps ship to some cush position in DC. Her parting words were how she was a victim of threats by white supremacists. Of course you were, Jeanette.

I fully expect maskshit to run through 2021 at the very earliest.
