This is why Canadian teenagers should stick to being irrelevant instead of poll reading and American politics. They make Nate Aluminum look competent.

Did some math, this map is Biden +~18. This means a margin similar to 1984's Reagan landslide. What the fuck.

Because foresight is something Democrats lack currently.
> South Carolina going to Biden
> Texas going to Biden
> Ohio going to Biden
> Iowa going to Biden

Yeah, right.

If Trump were smart, once every couple of weeks he'd hold a press briefing with independent content creators of all stripes. Fuck ABC/CNN/OAN/whoever. I want to see what Tim Pool asks—or even some lefty breadtuber. Fuck the media, give an outlet that goes directly to the people without a real corrupt filter. It not only gives his words directly to the people, but it pisses off and delegitimizes the MSM. Win-win.

I mentioned sth similar over in the biden thread regarding the joe rogan interview: he should just do more informal interviews or round tables so people can see more than just press briefings and pr-speak. not necessarily so people get scoops or answers to hart-hitting questions, but just learn about the person itself - not necessarily to be /oneofus/, but simply make it easier to understand the position etc., from one human to another.
I'd assume it would be wildly successful, and just imagine it becomes another standard like debates are now. can you imagine one of those crusty career-politicians being able to talk off-the-cuff in a way the common guy can understand it (otoh I don't necessarily think trump could too, but certainly more than someone like pelosi or biden)?

Since we are talking about bumper stickers and signs, I have only saw 1 Biden Harris sticker ever. I went to the junkyard to get parts for my car I am working on, which is in the hood, and I saw ~7 Biden signs in total and 1 BLM sign.

Noone cares about Joe.

wait, were those on the junk cars..?

I dont understand why won't the democrats push for making election day a national holiday?

They could have done it under Obama to make it easier for niggers, college students and working class minorities to vote for them.

I'm surprised when I heard it isn't. over here elections are always on sundays where the majority will be at home anyway.

Wisconsin, USA

A federal judge has ordered Wisconsin to accept late-arriving mail-in ballots for six days after the election. U. S. District Judge William Conley "immediately put his decision on hold for a week to allow for expected appeals." According to Wisconsin law, ballots must arrive by 8 pm election day to be counted.
The ruling comes in a set of cases brought by state Democrats,
Conley has refused to suspend the ID requirement for voters. He is, however, "suspending state law to allow election officials to be residents of other counties within Wisconsin" and "briefly suspending the state law that prevents absentee ballots from being delivered online to domestic civilian voters."
My list of mail-in deadlines has been updated.

I can’t figure out why we keep getting mailers and calls from the Dem party of Florida begging us to vote by mail. I don’t want to vote by mail. The mail is being fucked with. I can tell because four weeks on my ColourPop order still hasn’t shipped. Why would I want to vote by mail when I can go down any day for several weeks starting in October and vote in person? Do they assume everyone has a fast food job and no car? Quit harassing me, quit calling me, I’m not doing it.

Remember: turnout was pretty bad in 2016.

No it wasn't. It was up 7 million votes from the election before and 4.4 million from Obama's first win.

2016: 135,719,982 votes
2012: 128,768,094 votes
2008: 131,313,820 votes
2004: 122,295,345 votes
2000: 105,421,423 votes
1996: 96,277,634 votes
1992: 104,423,923 votes

Edit: I forgot in 1992 that Perot got 19% of the popular vote as an Independent. Wow.

Thoughts on Supreme Court Nominee

  • Despite hints that Amy Barrett might be the nomination, both Baris and Barnes are predicting a Barbara Lagoa nomination due to Trump making a head fake
  • Baris and Barnes do not want Barrett as they believe she will be a more extreme Roberts
  • Bad optics with Barrett will make her acceptance very unlikely due to how northern working class voters don't want an overly religious Catholic judge
  • Baris and Barnes want Lagoa
  • They predict Lagoa would lock Florida down by turning Cuban voters blood red and possibly increase Hispanic turnout
  • Lagoa ruled against felons being allowed to vote in Florida
  • Lagoa is the no brainer choice as it would get virtue signalling Republicans in the Senate like Romney to vote for her
  • She is a pro-family choice that was easily voted into the Florida Supreme Court
  • Baris leaked from a very reliable source that Biden does have a list but they're two black woman from California, one of which is a radical

I'm going to hope the hints at Barrett being the nominee is a fake out so we don't risk being rejected a nine seat Senate when Democrats try to push for voting electoral frauds.
I disagree with almost every word of this.

I don't think anyone with two brain cells to rub together thinks Amy Coney Barrett is going to try and force her religion on them. It's fearmongering.

Picking a Cuban to get Cubans to vote for us is the kind of shallow thinking that practically defines Democrats, not Republicans. It is a substantially different thing than avoiding the optics of replacing RBG with a man and cutting off at the pass potential sexual assault allegations.

I support ACB's ruling allowing felons to own firearms. If I recall, the person in question was convicted of a non violent fraud charge. And I agree with her reasoning that if you're not safe enough to have a weapon out of jail, you shouldn't be out of jail in the first place. Wanting to deny people the restoration of their rights, including voting, after prison makes Republicans exactly what Democrats claim we are.

Romney is going to vote for this. If not, he will confirm all the things Republicans say about him. In which case, picking Lagoa wouldn't make a difference anyway.

Lagoa was confirmed easily by a 80-15 vote. Coney Barrett had a much more contentious confirmation the first time. This is not the time for someone who hasn't already been through the ringer before. We need the spectacle. We want the optics of the Democrats attacking a conventionally attractive mother of seven children, two of which are adopted from Haiti and the other special needs. We want the optics of the Democrats attacking her for being Catholic, even though Biden and Pelosi are supposedly Catholic too. We want them to expose themselves for who they really are. Coney Barrett knows this and is up for it.

Shit is going to be appealed to oblivion. Also, shocking revelation.

It doesnt matter if its fearmongering. All the Democrats do is fearmongering. What matters is that its effective against women, the largest part of the electorate.

Picking a Cuban woman is good for 2 reasons: juicing the Cuban vote and forcing the left to attack a Latina. Cubans will vote for this shit. DeSantis, Scott, and Rubio know this because the only reason they have a political career right now is Cubans.

You support an ACB ruling. Congrats. Lagoa saved our chances at Florida by fucking over felons who didn't do proper payment of retribution for their crimes. Otherwise, 700 thousand Democrats more could potentially vote.

Romney would kill himself on the Senate floor if he could pin the murder on Trump. Don't expect a snake to not bite you.

Wanting a contentious SC battle for ACB isn't necessarily good. The left will believe she is a klanswoman by proxy, and the right will believe she did nothing wrong. So the center, being fed that she would end Roe v Wade on loop and at the highest volume is just supposed to tune it out? A lot Trump supporters are former Democrats, you know. If any case, if its contentious, why not have Lagoa take the beating on TV to show how Democrats don't care about minorities that vote for them?

Edit: Its the most Trump thing to do to go to the state of the SC nominee, especially in a crucial swing state, in a huge rally and say something along the lines of:
" You want a hint of who it is?
Well, she is from the beautiful state of Florida!
Its LAH-GOYA!"
He gets roars of cheers, makes it on the front of people's minds in FL, and clinches the state. Its classic showman Trump.

And he's headed there Friday. The same timeframe where he said he would confirm the next SC nominee.

Again, I don't think anyone with two brain cells thinks that line of attack will work. The ones without two brain cells are already lost and cannot be won over anyway.

Again, I don't think "See a Cuban, vote a Cuban" will work. Even in the Democratic Party it doesn't work. Black people didn't like Kamala. Black people didn't like Booker. Gay people didn't like Buttigieg. Why on earth would you think it would work in the Republican Party?

And no one but Democrats buys into an attack of a member of a subgroup is an attack on all people of that subgroup, least of all Republicans. If minority, women and gay Republicans actually believed that, they would have already left the Republican Party a long time ago.

I do not oppose requiring felons to pay restitution first. Restitution is part of the sentence. If you haven't paid the restitution, you haven't completed the sentence. I don't consider that fucking over anyone.

But even if I did agree, you'd also still be fucking over hundreds of thousands of Republican voters too. Not every felon is a Democrat.

Romney is from Utah, a highly Mormon state. While their sensibilities may also be offended by Trump's boorishness, they want that SCOTUS seat more. Believe it or not, Romney will have much bigger problems back home than some mean tweets from Trump if he torpedoes this nomination.
So the center, being fed that she would end Roe v Wade on loop and at the highest volume is juat supposed to tune it out?
Yes. Reasonable people know a smear when they see one. They saw it with Kavanaugh and acted accordingly. The Dems lost Senate seats in North Dakota, Indiana and Missouri that they otherwise would have won. Unreasonable people you can't do anything with anyway, so who cares.
why not have Lagoa take the beating on TV to show how Democrats don't care about minorities that vote for them?
After everything else the Dems have done, if they didn't already know that before this confirmation, I don't see how this would be the thing that finally breaks through.

Guessing he's gonna get her and come back to the whitehouse with her, then?

The article seems to imply Trump is not doing enough on immigration and so some whites are growing disillusioned because of that. Granted, if that was true I can only see this website going into denial about that then having a meltdown later on when he loses from a lack of white support.
All I know is that while I'm now firmly in the "I dunno, lol" camp regarding who will likely win this presidential election due to the SCOTUS vacancy, I'm not buying all this bullshit about Biden being massively ahead in the polls or Trump's base abandoning him. I suspect, but cannot prove, that a lot of these polls are about providing justification/cover for eventual electoral fraud.

It's gonna be like taking candy from a very, very old baby.
I dunno if it will be that easy, but I do know that Biden will be on the receiving end of at least one rhetorical curb-stomping courtesy of Trump and his own declining faculties. I maintain that Hillary's failure in the second debate in 2016 is what sunk her campaign and Biden will have at least one failure equal to or worse than that.
