If this were my granddaughter I'd smack her in the face and call her an embarrassment to the family and then I'd smack my daughter in the face for letting it happen and punch my loser son-in-law in the mouth for not being a man and putting his foot down to this nonsense then I'd berate them all about what sacrifice is and what it means to fight in a war for freedom while seeing your brothers-in-arms die, young men just 18 and 19 years old with their whole lives ahead of them and then I'd slap my granddaughter again for EVER having the nerve to associate my good name and service to the US military with Communism.

I've seen this case with some guys, they're stuck in the Dubya years and had "Republican = bad" drilled into their heads so effectively that they just can't imagine that times have changed and things aren't so black and white anymore.
I am somewhat sympathetic to that because yeah, it's a shocker, but like, open your fucking eyes and take a look at reality, just because Bush, Rumsfeld and Cheney were scumbags doesn't make everyone on the left a saint.

I saw on TV once footage from the Korean war where an air force pilot who had been shot down and captured by the communists was brainwashed into believing he was dropping chemical weapons on children and then was forced to talk about it on a propaganda film.
The way this guy said "to think I was dropping that on babies" and the look on his face, the fact that he genuinely believed this, was heart breaking and that kind of demoralization reminds me of the same tactic of hardcore guilt tripping and emotional manipulation the left uses today.

Guess all those people diving out the 5th floor window of the Apple factory in China just couldn't take the unbearable hipness of touching those products day after day after day.... it literally made them too cool to live.
