Liberals will always side with authoritarianism and fascism because above all else they value capital and the status quo.
You know what the definition of the word “conservative” is, right?

Yes, conservatives are socially conservative, but still fiscally liberal. The ontological conception of liberalism (as conceived by the west) is the basis of American politics. Both parties still subscribe to the current neoliberal global capitalist order. The differences between them are mostly superficial. You know what the definition of the word “conservative” is, right?
"Republicans should rubber stamp what Democrats want." That's not how it works. Obama didn't get to replace the right wing justice with a left wing justice because Democrats didn't control the Senate. Trump will be able to appoint a right wing justice to replace a left wing justice because Republicans control the Senate. "B-but the hypocrisy!" Should I post all the Democrats demanding Obama's pick be approved by the Senate in an election year and then turning around and claiming an election year vacancy shouldn't be filled?in the same way Turtle Mitch denied Obama his SC pick, the same should apply here. after all, it's an election year.
oh, no, nevermind, that only matters when you have any sort of integrity.
rules for thee, not for me

"I'm just going to forget about the Biden Rule. Democrats were never opposed to election year appointments."You're obfuscating the timeline.
Dems wanted to appoint despite it being an election year.
Reps said no, its bad form to appoint during an election year.
4 years later
Reps say its good form to appoint during an election year
Dems say, wait a minute, that's not what you said last time.
Reps say too bad, those rules are for thee, not for me
Dems say fuck you, be consistent. If it wasn't right then, its not right now.
Dems were never against it in the first place until the other side made a big fit about it and fucked them over.

If only we were dealing with the same senate in 1992 that we were in 2016. Different people, and a clear majority felt different."I'm just going to forget about the Biden Rule. Democrats were never opposed to election year appointments."
I was going to quote my comment from 2~ minutes before your post, assuming you simply didn't read it, but I see that you neg-rated it. So you're either a colossal fucking retard or you're just playing one on the internet.yeah but that's fake news because it doesn't support myintentional liesnarrative
"Democrats were never against it. Except when they were. But that doesn't count because reasons."If only we were dealing with the same senate in 1992 that we were in 2016. Different people, and a clear majority felt different.
Also its worth noting that there wasn't even a pick in 92'. "The Biden rule" was one guy's opinion on a hypothetical.

Holy shit you are being a pedantic little man. Ok, one democrat was against it. So when I say democrats weren't against it, i need to put a footnote, that it doesn't mean 100 percent of democrats ever. Everyone else understands this. You can refer to a general democrat consensus without referring to every single one who ever lived.I was going to quote my comment from 2~ minutes before your post, assuming you simply didn't read it, but I see that you neg-rated it. Every time I see the “one X means all X” argument, it’s either by a dipshit far-right moron, or a dipshit far-left moron.
Saying “The left believes” or “Democrats think” is a great way to immediately show that I really shouldn’t pay attention because anyone who knows anything knows that Democrats famously can’t agree on a god damn thing.
In a round-about way, he may have suggested Mitch Mcconnell's credibility and ethics are no better than the democrats.

If the Democrats win the senate and presidency, it's gonna be funny to watch them go in dry on the Republicans and change the electoral vote process so that it's more population-equal and expand the Supreme Court to be like 13 justices and nominate a whole bunch of liberal judges to fill the gap. The seething from the Trumpers is gonna be hilarious if that happens
