Trump's campaign has hammered pretty hard the point that he had managed to get the best statistics for black employment in history. Since the DNC's strategy seems to be to say "nuh-huh!" to everything and anything Trump says, and since he seems to be gaining with some black groups (likely the ones tired of all the rioting), this is the obvious reaction.I've noticed a MASSIVE uptick in anti trump ads aimed at portraying him as hating black people over the past couple days. Internal polls must be utterly fucked.
Attack ads have one significant flaw when it comes to Trump, though: those ads work great when they're talking about something the public doesn't know about a character, or something the public is uncertain about. You don't really have much of that when it comes to Trump. If you know his name, you know whether you like him or you hate him. I don't think those ads are going to change a lot of minds, and attack ads also aren't great at getting your own side to go out and vote. They're trying to use "standard" smear tactics on a guy they've been smearing for the past 4 years.
They're trying to add a thin extra layer of shit to a mountain of manure they've already poured all over the guy's name and and now they're wondering why it's not making much difference.
