They are relaxing that rule with Fubuki streaming with some of them, also Subaru has severals pals on Nijisanji and she stream with them on occasions, Cover should remove that stick in their ass about "muh purity", if Nijisanji can do it why not Hololive

It's really bizarre to me that even with "idols" like Coco and Matsuri and Marine being the chaotic forces they are, Hololive still tries to portray themselves as your standard squeaky clean idol company with pure innocent 17-year-old never-been-kissed virgin boyfriend-less aidorus that you totally have a chance with, HikkiNEET-kun! Maybe that's what's selling in Japan still nowadays, but as they go international they should realize most westerners will still simp for a 28-year-old girl with a boyfriend as long as she's cute enough.

It was more of a thing pre-gen 4, as gen 0-2 were a lot more "Idol"-like. Even Matsuri could be seen as an idol (as she could sing and dance like one).

That is missing the point, though. People are not objecting to investing money into a hobby, they are disgusted by that hobby being online prostitutes. Simps are paying for a streamers attention, which is no different that what you would do in a strip club or a host club.
Personally, I'd rather take that money to a brothel. At least there you get some free orgasms with your attention.
