People view cars with the contempt of familiarity. If they had eyes they would see and respect a car for what it is. The physical representation of individual power. A person who sits in the drivers seat of a car sits at the helm of a vessel that is the product of 10,000 years of human civilization. At the touch of their foot you can summon forth the greatest combustible power ever contained by man short of the nuclear fire itself. When it roars, you can accelerate to speeds beyond which scientists 200 years ago assumed the human body could not survive. Within seconds. All within an armored casing weighing several tons.

A car in the hands of man is literally the power of an ancient god made manifest in all the fire and fury. Alexander the Great would have sacrificed anything but to have a single Subaru. Caesar himself would have surrendered had the Senate rolled out a single Toyota Camry. And a bunch of college students think it would be a good idea to kick a car and try to get at its operator.

I think that's a main reason I had anxiety trying to learn to drive. I was in command of a several ton speedy machine that could kill people easily just by doing one wrong move. Of course, I got a little better but they really don't realize how dangerous they truly are. Also, like me, the driver is only human

Edit: just realized this glitched and didn't finish typing. I meant to say since drivers are only human, they may get fight or flight response to being surrounded by angry rioters. In either case, it's the exact same outcome.

Oh boy, emptying your nine in the police line, two "speedbump" incidents, arson, and rioting all over the country. And now we have the lost little lamb in the thread clutching its pearls as it enters a brave new world. What an exciting night.
Everytime the joggening seems to be cooling off things immediately flare up again these past few months, the size of this harvest will hit the history books, and not just as a "Bix nood racist cops gibsmedats and basically whitey was racist" footnote.
