I have advised family members and co-workers that when you see this. Quietly unfriend and block. Do not reply. Unfriend and block. I have seen these types who like to screenshot posts and doctor them up, block the person, and "cancel" them and they cannot fight back.

If they try to re-add, Block. If they DM asking "what's wrong?" or if you made a mistake and accidentally unfriended? Block. Yes, I...honestly have seen this in the wild. I thought it was REALLY pathetic that Russell Greer likes his own posts and chimps out on facebook, but it happens more often than I thought. Best course of action if you actually need to use facebook for one reason or other. Unfriend. Block. No explanations. No replies.

Allowing discrimination towards race will open up a lot of abuse and trouble. Say you do get your wish, what's stopping a landlord from not maintaining said property because it's inhabited by Mexicans or Blacks? That same discrimination is how these ghettos were formed. It's almost to the point where I "troll." Like mess with them a bit with some innocuous topics or questions. Facebook is certainly full of political discourse, but it's nice to have a little fun from time to time.

This happens when people feel uncertain about their affiliation and ideas, and need to find reinforcement to stop the cognitive dissonance of "all good people believe what I believe! Wait, why are none of the people I'm close to reposting this article?" They have to seek out a source of reinforcing information that puts them comfortably back into the soporific "repost and don't think about it" headspace they started out in.

One of the other insanities on modern social media are the liberals who try to pressure their friends and family into posting about specific issues. And nothing's ever enough. If you already post about BLM or whatever, it'll be "why haven't you talked about White Fragility yet? Why haven't you posted the 28 day anti-racism challenge? Why haven't you posted about trans day of visibility?"

There is almost nothing that turns off most people, especially Americans (who have a contrarian streak a mile wide, it's probably what I like best about our great nation), than being told what they have to profess a belief in. I've noticed that the majority of the boot kisser* friends I have supporting this shit on fb, their interactions and likes have been stymied significantly over the last 3 months, barely any interaction nowadays.... you know it's not pozzed facebook's algorithm, that's the silent majority.
