I do think Blanchard's definitons are a bit too rigid at times since I do know a straight guy who just very effeminate, was heavily bullied for it his whole life and ended up dysphoric and transitioned. A nice guy, but defintively do not exhibit the typical AGP traits that we usually see in this thread (hence the "nice" part).

Personally I would probably seperate them into two groups - those who transition for social reasons (which usually ends up being feminine gay men / butch lesbians) and those who do so for sexual reasons (usually straight dudes / Aidens). But there are defintively times when these two overlap.

I'm shocked by how awful the scars from FTM top surgery are. Is it really that impossible to remove breast tissue without the massive thick and long scars all the way across the chest? I had always assumed it could be done somewhat like a liposuction with a smaller insertion point. Women who get breast reduction surgery don't end up with scars like that and I've even seen better mastectomies.

If there’s barely any titties there to begin with they do keyhole surgery with a small incision around the nipple. But I never understood it either - lots of FTM trannies get all excited about being able to walk around shirtless but having a big ugly scar where your boobs used to be makes it glaringly obvious that something was cut off. I see fan art of male characters with either the scars or binders and to me it just reinforces the idea that many of these people don’t want to live as normal a life as possible in their preferred gender, they crave the attention that comes with being trans.
