...Ok just read the article and among the intersectionality horseshit I can't make heads or tails of there is a legitimate point: Immigrants from the rapey cultures are the ones with all the venereal disease etc and they don't usually know much about sexual health, especially the women, who even if they know they should, are too embarrassed or not allowed to get those kinds of examinations. That is not a race issue, that is a culture issue, and to be frank, largely a Muslim issue. That's a whole other kettle of fish that having more black sex therapists or whatever isn't going to solve.

Well, that part is true in a roundabout sort of way.
That first post is such a loaded statement; no one is saying racism isn’t bad, they just think this going past speaking out against racism.
Why is it that the moment people get any little bit of importance they act like this?
You would think someone who makes cartoons for escapism wouldn’t bitch so much on twitter.

As others pointed out to me, the fact that there was a pilot made at all (along with a built in fanbase) was what got networks to notice it. It may seem like I’m damning it by faint praise but keep in mind other aspiring animators just pitch on Twitter and hope senpai notices them. Viv making a pilot period is a massive step up.
Although, wasn’t A24 the one funding it?

I think people trying to bash Viv downplay how much of an achievement that pilot was in the first place. It introduced the characters well, the characters were quirky and I didn't immediately want to punch all of them in the face, its humor wasn't completely one-note crassness, it established the world, and it brought up the main plot and a good number of secondary plot threads to be explored at leisure if the show was ever picked up.
Sure, now it's been picked up it's all ready for Vivzie to fuck up but I would take Hazbin Hotel's pilot over any given season of Rick and Morty any day of the week.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying downplay HH’s achievements. I liked it and I think it might spell good things for independent animation. Really, they couldn’t have gotten to where they are without putting in that hard work and building up a fanbase, something networks gravitate towards. As shit as their pitches are, I would respect bettercartoon a lot more of they nutted up and made the cartoons themselves, rather than whine that CN isn’t picking up their pitch.
