Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

Still feels very 50/50 though. Mildly optimistic about a Trump re-election, but it definitely feels like there's a fix about to come in. And a lot of people are really ignoring what's happening out there in favor of doing what the tilted media are telling them.

Well... I've gotten far, far out from any cities and suburbs and populated areas. So we'll see.

Yeah like I'd not be surprised if Biden wins, but really disappointed because of the inevitable smugness on twitter and how this will essentially teach people that throwing temper tantrums will get you your way.

You know, for how thuggish, loutish, and sadistically predatory the left have been for the last four years when they don't have power (much less corporate lapdogs), it's actually quite worrying to think of what they will do if they get power, and there are no brakes on the excesses. It's set up for an almost certainty of apartheid, gulags, and re-education camps if they can exercise that kind of power.

This is what they are confident to proclaim and threaten when they don't have power. What more will they do if they do?

I remember saying to a family member when I was out in the bush and the radio was playing on 9/11, and it was only a few minutes after I realized the first report of a plane hitting didn't mean some numbskull in a Cessna, I told them: "Now we see the veneer of civilization collapse in the States."

It sort of did, with waterboarding and extraordinary rendition and Abu Ghraib and Gitmo, but now it's expanded, and instead of being an aberrant smear of paint in the picture, it has become the canvas of politics in the West.

I think most people intuitively see this, and unless the media's attempt to make this the canvas succeeds and Biden wins this election, I think by next summer there will be a mass amnesia for the majority about the TDS insanity over the last few years. If it goes the other way, I'll be terribly worried for the future of western civilization. Hell, a Trump win and a lost senate and an ambiguous house will completely castrate the executive, so it would be a bit reassuring to see the senate at least get a little more Republican.

I like to joke about how much the left (and so does the right, but they're not the problem right now) is fond of projection. But there's a big kernel of truth to it.

Remember all those histrionics about Trump setting up concentration camps for LGBT, women being reduced to broodmares, illegals being executed on the spot, and the streets being filled with fascist death squads killing with impunity?

None of it happened, of course. But they were scared of it because that's exactly what they would do if they were in complete control.

Fucked up looking at the FBI texts that Sidney Powell got released. Agents buying liability insurance in case they got sued over the Russia hoax investigations, Strzok outted as admitting Flynn complied with FARA, and so on.

Since this all means the DoJ had access to all this information from the start, it's further evidence Sessions should have been able to shut that shit down and chose not to. Which mostly annoys me due to how Sessions still has some defenders on the right that pretend he accomplished anything when he was AG.

This is insane.

“[W]e all went and purchased professional liability insurance,” one agent texted on Jan. 10, 2017, the same day CNN leaked details that then-President-elect Trump had been briefed by Comey about the bogus Christopher Steele dossier. That briefing of Trump was used as a pretext to legitimize the debunked dossier, which was funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign and compiled by a foreign intelligence officer who was working for a sanctioned Russian oligarch.

“Holy crap,” an agent responded. “All the analysts too?”

“Yep,” the first agent said. “All the folks at the Agency as well.”

“[C]an I ask who are the most likely litigators?” an agent responded. “[A]s far as potentially suing y’all[?]”

“[H]aha, who knows….I think [t]he concern when we got it was that there was a big leak at DOJ and the NYT among others was going to do a piece,” the first agent said.

Apparently there was another investigation called Typhoon rather than Crossfire Hurricane, where someone got recorded. Guessing it was about Papadapolis (however you spell it).

Edit: In other news, the Durham probe may be getting closer to doing something about deranged Russia conspiracy theorists in the CIA or whatever, because they're complaining now that Haspel is wanting to have them interact more with other units there.

In all likelihood were probably including shit information like "Russia has twitter accounts" as evidence and then were spreading it to various policymakers, helping Dems and Russiaphobes to pretend Russia was in Trump's corner. You never seem to see them comment on how Russia is interfering so it has to be the dumbest shit.

Trump’s firing of former acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire, who made the career-ending decision to allow a deputy to brief lawmakers on Russia’s ongoing election interference, is still top of mind for many in the intelligence community who fear they could land in Trump’s crosshairs if they challenge him in any official setting.

At this point, I am 100% sure Roberts was bought off. No way would they have hinged -this much- on a maybe vote.

The current theory for Roberts is:

1. Roberts is a thin skinned loser who is still crying over the bad press he got over Citizens United (which had him being declared history's greatest monster by folks like Keith Olberman, who outright compared him to the Supreme Court Justice who wrote the Dredd Scott Ruling which not only legalized slavery but nuked from orbit the political compromise put into place to keep slavery out of the northern states formed after 1820 and said he single handedly killed Democracy with that ruling). So since then, he's basically been cowed by the media into siding with the left in a desperate bid to bury that single decision in hopes no one mentions it when the history of the 21st Century is written.

2. Obama found out that Roberts and his wife didn't go through the legal channels for adoption and simply bought (via gray market adoption) his kids from their parents. Which is super illegal and that Obama and the Democrats have been blackmailing him ever since.

3. Roberts is tight with the Bush administration clique and has zero loyalty to Trump, so if he can make life hell for Trump from the bench, he'll do it.

That said, Roberts would be dead in a week if he ruled to hand the election to Biden. Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if the other conservative judges didn't kill him on the spot the second they realize he was betraying the GOP for good boy points.

She was the old, aging Democrat on the Supreme Court who hated Trump and loved Roe v Wade and wouldn't resign in order to spite Trump.

That's really all there was to Ginsburg in the public consciousness even before she died.

Ginsberg's transformation into a memestar is one of those things that happened with zero warning, as for YEARS she was a joke. The glasses wearing unfuckable ugly lady on the Supree Court, who's only pop culture relevance was on Family Guy, which did multiple jokes during the first couple of seasons (pre-cancellation) as a punchline due to her three word name and obscurity of no one giving a shit about her.

It wasn't until around 2014 that, overnight, the left and the media cronies on the left, suddenly declared that RBG was a huge rockstar and THE most famous member of the Supreme Court. It was utterly inorganic to the point that SOMETHING fishy was up that you had Rachel Maddow, SNL, Stephen Colbert, etc all treating RBG like she was the second coming of Jesus, with the manufactured "Notorious RBG" in particular being Milhouse level forced meme.

Some people have speculated that this was all Obama's doing. Obama wanted RBG to stay on the Supreme Court until Hillary took over and to get her to do so, Obama and the DNC called in countless favors from Harvey Weinstein and the media to, without any organic build-up, make Ruth a celebrity. Book deals, a god-awful bio film, celebrities fawning over her, mass merchandise featuring the Notorious RBG nickname, etc. All to make Ruth feel like the belle of the ball, feeding her ego and not retire.

Conspiretard #4: Like Bill Clinton, he was on the logs / island.

As for what legal analysts thought of her, just read what was said about her during her confirmation here (archive). Page 12 has the craziest stuff. She was the loudest voice on the Supreme Court pushing for the gender nonsense we see today, only she started doing it 40 years ago not just recently.
Fucking kikes I swear to God

How did George Orwell predict all this shit? This is straight up a proto 2 minute hate sesh.

Was the left in his time just as deranged in his time? Have they not changed at all in the decades that have passed? Its eerie.

The peak years Orwell was producing his iconic work was right after WW2 when the anti-Communist/Red Scare was just starting to get into full swing. A lot of people have speculated that Animal Farm and 1984. It's been argued that like James Cagney's "Yankee Doodle Dandy" film, that Orwell saw the winds blowing against communism/socialism and wrote Animal Farm/1984 (both of which were attacks on Soviet Russia and the Communist Revolution) to cynically protect himself from being destroyed in the coming backlash.

That said, the left was in a really bad place in the late 1940s and 1950s after FDR died and the second world war ended. Russia became the new big bad and communism was the new mortal enemy. Truman was also a center-right type Democrat and since the Great Depression was a thing of the past once WW2 ended, there was a massive as hell swing to the center-right when it came to the Democrats under Truman. In particular, Truman crushed the unions and rendered them largely toothless and made illegal a lot of the strike tactics that they used in the 1930s.

Hollywood was still under the grips of Dalton Trumbo and the ultra corrupt Writers Guild but they got pissy about HUAC and purposely got themselves charged with contempt as part of a Batman Gambit to kill HUAC that destroyed their careers. But even then, conservative forces were rising in Hollywood and in the studios, you saw the end of the "message" films and more populist films designed to make money as opposed to being seen as artwork. The rise of the sci-fi genre and the resurrection of the Biblical epic films were two genres that saw a lot of films being made: sci-fi because it was cheap and brought in kids, while the Biblical films were the cape films of the day; big budget films designed to lure in the entire family. You still had edgy fair (Tennessee Williams or Hitchcock) but Hollywood in general kept politics to the wayside.

Ironically, this led to the left focusing a LOT on the black civil rights movement, because it was one of the few outlets for them to channel their energies available to them. Unions were becoming more corporate and using the legal system and backroom deals to fight for reform, while womens rights kind of backslid one the men came back from the war and you had a generation of women basking in the post-war economic boom that led to their husbands making so much money they didn't have to work. Eisenhower meanwhile was a sort of mythic Republican who EVERYONE liked, even his enemies and that ironically came back to bite Republicans in the ass as he could have EASILY have matched if not topped FDR's number of Presidencies. So Civil Rights became the new cause celeb for the radical left and there was a tangible connection to the now underground socialist movement within the Civil Rights movement as people like Martin Luther King Jr were open about being socialists (which leads to a bit of a story; that King told his wife he was a socialist on their first date and basically told her "I'm a socialist and I'm not changing so accept it or don't bother looking me up for a second date).

Well shit that makes sense. Especially all the bullshit with people acting like she was wonderfully fit.
