I watched that clip last night before I went to bed. The cops did everything they could reasonable do to try to deescalate the situation. The cop did everything she could to avoid opening fire, but had no choice. It was gut-wrenching to see her lose it almost immediately after she shot the perp
. I hope she's OK, too.in my general region, there is a church that is giving sanctuary to an illegal and his wife. He's supposed to be deported, but he refuses to comply because he claims he's the only one that can care for his frail wife and that he'd die the instant he arrived in his native country. The cops seem content to let him stay at the church because it's akin to strict house arrest for him because he can't set foot out of the church and has to rely on the church or other sympathetic activists for his needs.
Let's hope Louisville gets through tonight without any major incidents like 24 hours ago.
