UNRELATED but: Most Western Tumblr/TWT artists–from what I've noticed–have this mentality when they make redesigns they add too much of themselves (e.g. gay/trans/enby headcanon, autistic/adhd, etc.)

Never played the games, but isn't a huge point of Danganronpa the fact that they're Japanese high school students wearing Japanese high school uniforms? Hence all the girls wearing some form of pleated skirt?

This isn't even changing BNHA hero outfits anymore, this is westernizing them. Which I could have sworn was considered whitewashing and racist?

This has been mention in the thread before but most Westerners tend to *ahem* NEGROFY any pale skinned character they see rather than supporting animated series made by actual POCs

And there's been an ongoing discourse pertaining to creating POC characters in fear of getting backlash. IMO the reason why they get said backlash is because their OC's only trait/s is their ethnicity
(e.g. LOOK AT MY CHARACTER!! SHES WOKE AND BLACK!!)

TL;DR Support cartoon made by POCs rather than westernizing anime; Don't make your OC's personality their race/ethnicity

Why would you make Sakura skinny? And I don't know if there's any spoilers involved (I don't know anything about DRV3) but it makes no sense to make the child caregiver wear a combat outfit.
I do like Mikan's longer skirt though. Mostly I think a few of these would be fine as alt designs if the faces weren't so...

I can just barely see the text about the event and it says "A prompt will be given for people to go off of but anyone can make their own list" What's the bloody point?!

I was looking into OC-tober cuz I never heard of it and you can only Google it by typing "OC-tober" quotes included. It seems that they're hijacking an obscure art challenge to bolster themselves. OC-tober challenge doesn't even have consistent prompts as people make up their own, a perfect blank slate.

And I wait for people to whine that no one's drawing their OC and call the patronising artists racist for not picking them.
