Soyboy Jacob Frey gave an exclusive interview with a local news outlet about policing and public safety yesterday. Minneapolis is so fucked. Nearly 150 officers are scheduled to leave by March 2021. Frey’s big plan is to give $2.5 million to “violence interrupters” aka former gang members to “stop violence before it happens“.

Generally, when I went to school, I was told not to attract unnecessary attention. Kids can be cruel.

You do what you have to do, make some friends, go about with your business and go home.

You'd think students are more accepting now with the times, but I'd argue it's worse now because of social media and smartphones. Not even with "I have an iPhone, you don't," with everybody sharing anything and everything about their lives and posting it online. Once you put something on the Internet, it's there forever. Regarding this, I'm remembering an article I once read about how the FiBbIes raided the offices of a "gang outreach program", and they found a cache of guns and drugs. It was basically a taxpayer-funded drug dealing operation that was using the credibility of a government-funded-and-sanctioned violence interrupter program as the perfect cover for a gangland criminal operation.

I'll try and dig the article up.

Jacob Frey himself has been down this road, giving a poor downtrodden jogger a job as a criminal justice fellow. The jogger turned around and got caught with cocaine with intent to sell and a firearm as a felon. The jogger now faces federal charges. Frey never talks about this.

What do you consider rock bottom? NYC in the 70s? Maybe a year or two until it is near that point. There are already regular home invasions, carjackings, armed robberies, drive bys, and more. That crime is seeping into the affluent areas. Once property values start to drop, the affluent will leave. 45% of the city’s funds come from non-property tax sources like parking, events, sales taxes on 200,000 Minnesotans who typically work downtown but may never return to their offices. With no tax base, the spiral will be quick.
