Gross Brittany Venti / Brittany Dier - Stinky.

Sparking outrage among the vtuber fanboys throwing money at fake women for talking like children is probably the smartest thing she's ever done and if she keeps this up she'll be one of those top grifters like Ian Miles Cheong. She's got no real drama, is part black, and is good at getting content out when the iron is hot. That's basically the recipe for a golden grift.
So then, Papa Null, what are your overall thoughts on Brittany then? You said she was a whore, in this thread; and that she’s, what you consider, a golfer grifter. Do you agree with a majority of her reasoning? Do you think she is legitimately envious of these V-Tuber streamers? Would you consider making a Mad At the Internet stream on her?

vtubers and anime are all retarded forms of escapism for retarded westerners and brittney venti is escapism for desperate men who can only get hard hearing what they already think repeated back to them

anime avatars are ridiculously easy to offend, by the way. I made fun of Digibro's girlfriend and now my Twitter timeline has like 8 different anime avatars calling me 'despicable'. Anime avatars are just a different kind of person where escapism is king. They're exactly like Marvel fanboys but instead of wanting to fawn over surgically mutilated transgenders and lesbians they want to fawn over traps and women who sound retarded.

Exactly my experience.

Telling them that Jap cartoons brainwash them or dissing Japan or just telling the sad truth that Japan is in decline would send them coming and you get notifications of people with Jap cartoon avatars liking their own tweets.

it's still going??? weebs always fall off the same lemming cliff to defend their pathetic hobbies don't they? nothing showcases faggotry better than getting defensive over vtubers, you're pretty much broadcasting to the world you're in a parasocial relationship with a cgi girl, you utter brainlets lmao

people don't seem to get that venti is and always has been a massive attention whore, and even if she gets dislike bombed or ratio'd she will thrive because negative attention still counts as attention to clout chasers.
the only way to get her to fuck off from your pathetic hobby is to ignore her and let her fade into obscurity. stop giving her exposure and she'll have no choice but to log off, take a shower, and get a fucking job.

I think those were mostly jokes on /b/, dunno since I only browsed there from 2010 - 2011 and then moved on to /v/, /pol/ and /jp/ by then.

During the 4chan.net days it got out of control, largely because law enforcement hadn't caught up yet and that format of systematic anonymity was still very novel and easy to exploit. For a time /b/ in particular was probably the biggest gateway for cp onto the "clearnet" but it wouldn't be a long reign. The switch from .net to .org brought about fundamental changes to the way the site worked and how it was administrated that more or less put an end to any sort of meaningful volume of images/videos being trafficked there. There are different phases that came later on /b/ where cp was posted on the sly (e.g. pictures of faucets would have onion links to cp in the metadata), but they are short lived and the risk is too high.

It happens in this very thread. Almost all the neg rates are from anime avatars and closet weebs.

So, philosophically, are there any good forms of escapism? Or is the concept of escapism something we could live without? I guess it’s slightly off topic from Venti’s current drama, but it’s a good conversation to have in speaking of how Venti’s fans are doing an equally none-productive activity, compared to the anime profile pics. I used to like Venti back when she was doing the whole boob streamer persona, as it was all really funny. Now she’s just being too serious with what she’s doing on her videos.

It depends on what you mean by escapism. I don't like the term personally because its so broad as to be almost meaningless. If you find something funny or cute, then there's nothing wrong with that. If you actually care about concepts such as "obtainability" and think that the entertainers you watch would ever actually consider themselves your friends/girlfriends/partners/whatever then you should probably take a break from the internet.

Yep. I was curious about some of the posters in this thread, and took a look at the vtuber thread here. Half of the posters spitting at venti are in that vtuber thread talking about their favorite vtubers and linking their "cute" moments. It's such a fucking cope lmfao. You can tell she struck a nerve.

I have no idea where the out of touch glorious nippon is a paradise shit comes from. The amount of rage that can happen from one comment is surreal. The animu fandom has gotten really, really culty and I'm not sure when it happened.
I miss simpler times of when I was a teenager when it was just kinda harmless and dorky. Spergs and pervs were told dail it back instead of encouraged.

It sounds like you’re describing Parasocial Relationships more with what you disapprove of then. Those types of relationships these days are scarily easy to form with social media websites like Twitter, Tiktok, etc., and at “best” are just annoying K-pop stans, anime profile pics, and SIMPS. Though, even before the internet, Richard Lopez is probably the most infamous example of that relationship at the worst.

Part of it has to do with these cartoons and whatever the Jap pop culture industry produces. I mean it when I say they have a brainwashing effect and portray a rosy picture of Japan which is removed from reality.

I have been to one of these conventions once and a government official from Japan came down to deliver a speech promoting tourism and what not. This soft power push by Japan has government backing.

And if you buy into what they are trying to sell, of course you will take umbrage when someone points out Japan's many, many problems.
