Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died at 87. - 🦀

They're going to attack Trump for being "low energy" during this announcement. He tends to do this act whenever it's something very important he's announcing. I recall it a couple of times during the initial stages of the coronavirus outbreak. Look for the articles speculating that he is sick later tonight and tomorrow.
That's how they'll avoid the debates. Drumpf is the one with COVID.

She sounds like a better mother than "Mamala."

I honestly didn't know she existed before all this. I still don't know much about her history of course but she seems pleasant enough in her speech. Brings up her family in the speech and it sounds like she loves her family has humor about it.

I don't know what's too awful about her. Catholic? I don't care too much. Conservative? We'll see how much, but I doubt she'll immediately start steamrolling everything. I wonder if it's been overexaggerated by people who are far enough left that everything is conservative. But who knows. Adopted kids? Great she's giving a really good life to some kids who would not have otherwise had one.

So what are the dems going to hit her on?

Can't pull the metoo card this time.

She stole black babies from their rightful home with noble kangs and qweenz. She's a Christian despite that religion being destroyed by youtube.

Literally "she adopted a black baby that proves she's SUPER RACIST."

Edit: I'm waiting for the left's sexism to leak out in places. "Anti-white racism" is kind of a free square in woke bingo.

She seems like a lovely person. TBH all the folks engaging in hysterics or concern trolling about her look pretty dumb.
If the Democrats go berserk on her, it will prove that the dunce Biden is a figurehead and that'll be it for him. Best they swallow hard and vote to approve, then pray for the older conservatives on the court to retire or the other thing.

The madman actually did it. He nominated the absolute antithesis of the modern Marxist left, she'll make the purple haired squad reeeeeeeeee to the absolute maximum as she exemplifies everything these subhumans secretly desire to be.

I'm torn. Lots of people were turning on her and wanted the Cuban. But remember that in the game of IdPol, the left always wins.

Besides, he needs a 4th judge ready to go during his second term.

I'm mixed too, I was leaning more towards Lagoa personally and I'm split on Barrett's actual record and I feel like she'll be a harder sell during the confirmation process. But it's not like she's replacing Thomas so she's already a net gain sitting on RBG's seat. If she can actually get onto it.

If people choose back alley abortions it won't be because of Amy Coney Barrett or the SCOTUS, it will be because they were too cheap or lazy to order a pill online or drive over a state line, AT WORST.
What's more, if Roe disappeared at this instant, abortion would be illegal exactly nowhere in the country. For it to become illegal, state legislatures would have to enact laws making it so, and those laws themselves would have to survive federal scrutiny. It could be that if properly argued, abortion would be found constitutionally protected. (No one, absolutely no one, believes Roe was competently decided.) If Congress is so hot to kill babies, it could pass a law saying abortion is specifically allowed. So the screeching is, and always has been, just noise.

I'm curious how the media is going to try and smear Amy. Having an adopted black kid who actually looks like a well behaved human basically shields her from racism claims.

I'm going to predict that they'll try to nail her for "covering up for known sexual harassers".
They'll call her a racist and call her kid a victim of child abuse.

Realistically, Roe isn't going anywhere as long as nonprofits have money to make from fighting over it.
Good point. I guess all is well. Driving for a few hours or days is worth it when it comes to something serious like abortion and the pill is also a good solution.

Guess we can just sit back and enjoy the democrat chimping, then.
