I do wonder why they dont just do the fucking xenforo shit. Rent some AWS create a test enviroment start porting over "features" and colour sheets. Then just port over the logins and the live threads you dont have to do it all at once and when you got something that works just shut down the fucking vb hacked together bullshit.

I dont want to start rumors but is jeff or one of the admins hosing something?

It should also be noted that most images/videos users post are hosted via imgur or another service. There is an attachment feature but it's rarely used and most likely doesn't work at all. Avatars are hosted but there's a limit on the file size, which is extremely small.

Im not quite sure I believe that the forum has 14 TB of traffic a month. Its primarily text. There's basically little image and no video hosting. I'd imagine a typical page load is only a few megs.

I went and had a look at how goons feel about the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. My own opinion of her is colored in large part by watching an extremely well-credentialed, heavily libertarian Twitter lawyer lament that Barrett seemed like a batshit authoritarian, spend a day reading her opinions, and reconsider, eventually concluding that she's a pretty damn good pick and it's great to have a mom on SCOTUS because she'll actually seriously consider future generations.

The D&D goons are discussing Barrett as well, and they have some very fine criticisms of her.

Those people are gonna do it anyway and its better for them to share knowledge about how not to end up wasting paramedic or hospital resources and time for something preventable like a withdrawal seizure or some shit, but its still always bizarre to see some of these stories.

Late reply but that TCC goon who cooked a cocaine research chemical analogue into Green Crack and smoked it killed himself because his girlfriend and his dad, who were also drug addicts, started fucking each other and plotted a plan to steal the safe which he kept all of his valuables and life's savings in, then run away together. It was actually kind of sad, the guy had been counting down the days until he got off probation and could leave NJ and get away from his junkie friends to get clean. I thought he was going to be one of the first goon junkies to clean up. Whacked himself very shortly before. Lol the list of goons I used to talk to on TCC is a fucking graveyard now.

Only one person I knew in years and years of posting on TCC ever actually improved their life. Guy lost over 200 pounds started a band and stopped using drugs. Shame he got the Trump Derangement Syndrome real bad, decent guy.

In ~~other places~~ back in 2016 it was a sort of sport to go onto D&D/CSPAM and try to fill the Useless Communist --> MAGA voter pipeline. Judging by the stuff you've quoted it's still happening in 2020, and probably easier this time around.
