I think the best way for this thread to go would be to focus on doctors behaving badly. Like, we all know the results are going to be trainwrecks, but I'd be interested in reading some back-and-forths between doctors and their desperate patients (victims) after the deed is done.

Smart thread, I'll need to keep an eye on this for sure. I suspected things could easily go wrong, but seeing those pictures (bad habit of clicking spoiler tags while I read) was shocking. The disregard that those surgeons show is horrifying too. I've been under the knife more than a few times, and imagining someone who made it all the way through med school having such a blatant disregard for basic medical professionalism really makes my skin crawl. Hell, I've even had to do some decent first aid and I don't think I could take cutting stuff away that flippantly.

Before the idea gets floated, there is historical precedent for the desire for SRS, dating at least as far back as the third century. Small history lesson: The Roman Emperor Elagabalus was famously (highly likely) a troon, referring to themselves as Queen, dressing in feminine clothes, depilating, etc. In his historical documents from the time, Cassius Dio included an anecdote about Elagabalus searching for a physician who could give them the equivalent of a vagina. Needless to say they didnt find anyone capable. Now Dio was biased and sometimes had to rely on rumours, but it's clear he didn't invent the idea whole cloth. Hopefully that gets ahead of the first person fresh out of philosophy class to claim that the desire for SRS is some kind of modern invention.

Meh... The Romans were surely occasionally pretty deviant, and mental illness is as old as mankind, but I wouldn’t put too much stock in anecdotes like that.

Dio, as yourself said, was hardly an unbiased source, and much of what he reports is most likely just contemporary propaganda and smears.

Looks like he's also experimenting on his patients without telling them. In this case he put in screws in the chin wrong and messed up his teeth in the process.

If you meant aesthetically, the answer is pretty much "no". From what I've seen this is considered a good result; it's obviously not real from the folds and texture but it might not get clocked from a few feet away & a sympathetic person might mistake it for some kind of severe injury. If he opened his legs it'd obviously be a fake-it's just not possible to recreate the relative size and location using men's parts.

If you meant "allows for sex", the answer is "yes"..... but it's obviously going to feel very different because we're talking about lubricated scrotal/penile or colon tissue. The unique microflora environment down there + the fact that a neovagina's basically an open wound also means both men are putting themselves at serious risk of new and horrible STDs.

Fun fact: While many FTM penis operations are initially successful, up to around half require MULTIPLE revisions.

There’s also a rather sizable problem with just taking a tube of skin/flesh and atttaching it somewhere it wasn’t meant to go. Blood flow and such.

In many cases (I’ve seen statistics that say up to 30-50%) the fleshtube penis eventually literally rots and falls off, or has to be surgically removed before it happens.

So yeah: FTM troons have an even harder time in term of surgical options than the MTFs. Cutting off a penis and making some sort of hole is a lot easier than trying to attach a dick.

I've heard another major factor in botched bottom surgeries is when they are done to someone too young...like Jazz, or someone who started transition before full maturity and now has a shrunken dick. Another black mark towards the ghouls insisting on transitioning children. Another issue is low effort trannies fail to do the proper after care, which I am sure is involved and painful. Like what happened to our good friend Phil.

Surgeon botched my sex reassignment surgery:

I couldn't find anything about the restraining order in the court system either. Not sure if that sort of thing is public in the first place.

I don't want to seem like I'm defending the butchers carrying out the surgeries. However It's worth pointing out that trannies tend to lead chaotic lives,. General poor hygiene, and the inability to follow the necessary post surgery self-care, whether that's keeping the 'wound' clean, changing bandages, taking medication properly etc... could all contribute to their NeoVaginas rotting off.

I wish there were better functioning, easier surgical options for the trans people that really need it. The current state of SRS/GRS just seems cruel and dystopian with the level of callousness and Lynchian horror behind it. If I was trans, I wouldn't want the surgery, especially after doing research. Nothing is worth that level of injury for the rest of my life and seeing innocent people suffer because of their blinding faith in these money-hungry quacks is really saddening. They deserve better than this.

For those of you not following the Jazz Jennings thread, I def recommend if you want to watch some truly fucked up shit. They actually threw Jazz a party right before the surgery. The surgery that, btw, he had no tissue for due to the puberty blockers. AND the same surgery that was extremely botched and required at least three revisions so far in order to keep from splitting.
