Yandere Simulator goes mad and enables RTX RAY TRACING.. (JOKE)
The title is talking referencing to the mod as a joke, but the description and linked video are talking about a work in progress, project that is being expanded on.
video description said:
It almost killed my gpu, and no it's not a bug. It's a graphic mod i'm currently making see more details here: https://youtu.be/sU8SPprCi74

My best bet is, that the creator is afraid of Alex taking the video down out of spite :story:

I just recently started following this Alex drama and I decided to check out his twitch. He is legit bad at video games so I'm not sure how he ever decided he could create one.

Lol, looks like someone is working on bringing ray tracing to our beloved Yandere Simulator.
Make YanSim have a frame rate of "2" challenge.

The newfag's got pretty vanilla taste, too. Also that's pretty rich considering your profile pic.

It definitely could with an idea like that, the problem is everyone who makes a yandere game just wants to try and spite Alex, always failing in the process
Actual, competent game devs, even if they're complete rookies, have better things to do. Anyone with 2 braincells can figure out that a project fueled purely by spite will fail.

These children can afford a $700-$850 GPU that has limited availability to run this? Because I haven't had any kind of luck with RTX in most games with a 20-series card.

Raytracing isn't limited to RTX technologies, it can be done in software. RT cores simply act as accelerators that deal with ray intersections. The title also claims to be a "joke", so it could be any random GPU they're using.
Probably an RTX series though, considering the consistent 60+ FPS in the courtyard.

Seeing as how the characters don't move and the camera doesn't pan all the way around, I can't help but wonder if they just remodeled that corner of the schoolyard in another engine or even a full 3D rendering program and dropped in the characters from the game, with no mechanics for the characters to actually move or to show anything else except that one area. In other words, that's not the actual YanSim game.

Straight up anime avatars mean your opinion counts for 1/3 of normal person, but also with the added degeneracy of being haram. I don't make the rules.

Very possible they just deleted all the off-scene stuff out of the map, since YanSim doesn't have "visible polygons only" render optimization.

Game engines like unity already do that. It would be other things that are still running like pathing, collisions, memory leaks, etc causing the issue. Or if stuff is way off in the background to where it’s not easily visible to the player, but it’d still be visible in screen space. But a binary toggle like that wouldn’t fix the issue.

Alex's Patreon has stopped doing that strange thing where the total number of patrons increases but total contributions either decrease or remain the same.

Also of note, the latest bug fixing build was released on the 22nd of September. On the 23rd, the most recent YanSim clone Love Letter was officially cancelled by someone that basically did a speedrun of everything unsavory involving Alex. There has been no new build released since then despite how broken the game remains, like shoving Osana through a locker into the endless void and pulling off her hair to feed it to the air conditioning.
What a coincidence.

Look at this magnificient game design:

I bet the game glitched out when you'd push Osana while she was going to a prescripted destination and Alex solved it the most Alex way possible: by forbidding the player to do the exact action that triggers the bug. Of course don't forget that Osana shouldn't be pushable at the screenshotted moment in the first place.

Good thing my anime avatar has the added "demotivational poster" format.

Kagome sad. As usual.

My best bet is that Alex just forgot to make the push localized to that area of the roof specifically (missed a trigger to make it change from push to talk, probably) and because the event is supposed to happen when there are no other events going on, it probably has less priority than pathfinding, or something, I don't know anything about programming, it just strikes me that not even he would be that retarded with what I would think is a basic fix.

I wonder if there are other glitches that show this specific pop up. I'd have to guess that there are other processes he doesn't want interrupted with shit that isn't even supposed to be possible.

At least with pulling her hair off the "death" is more realistic? doing that is more likely to scalp someone over beheading them. :story:
