The fetus has its own Unique DNA from the second it is a zygote. It's a unique recombinance of maternal and paternal information. It does not change or update over the next nine months nor does it "accept" new DNA into itself. It is not stripping out DNA from the mother's blood and inserting it into itself.

Say a fetus with Sickle Cell is implanted (as in IVF) into the body of a woman without sickle cell and carried to term. The child that results will still have Sickle Cell.
