Team Obama, activate!

Left-wing Hollywood stars are rallying around Barack Obama as evidence mounts that the former president was involved in the failed take down Gen. Michael Flynn as well as a larger clandestine effort to derail the Trump presidency. President Donald Trump has repeatedly tweeted about a massive “Obamagate” scandal, saying that Obama and Joe Biden led the “most corrupt administration in U.S. history.”

“It was OBAMAGATE, and he and Sleepy Joe led the charge. The most corrupt administration in U.S. history!” the president tweeted on Monday.

Over the weekend, leaked audio footage emerged of Obama slamming Trump. The former president claimed that the Justice Department’s decision to abandon its prosecution of Flynn means that the “basic understanding of rule of law is at risk.” He also slammed President Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Loyal left-wing Hollywood celebrities have begun circling the wagons around Obama, playing defense as the #Obamagate hashtag trended on Twitter on Monday. Prominent entertainment figures including Ava DuVernay, Barbra Streisand, Patricia Arquette, and Jeffrey Wright have leapt to the former president’s aid, eager to downplay the gravity of the brewing scandal.

Could this famous thing be upon us in the near future?

Johnny and Dee Dee Ramone, Johnny Rotten and Sid Vicious, and Guttermouth have all had Right-wing leanings and have stuck to their punk rock roots. Well, Dee Dee did try to go hip-hop once, but did it in his own way. I remember back when Bush 2 was PotUS and Guttermouth got kicked off Warped Tour because all the other bands were trashing the President, but Guttermouth was selling shirts supporting the President. Sadly, the Lefties have nearly completely taken over the punk rock scene and totally pussified it. Good on Johnny Rotten for showing these fucking poseurs what punk is really about.

Local Butter Merchant wears shirt that pisses people off. News at 11.

e: Punk is all manufactored. It has been from day 1. Punk was created by Malcolm McLaren, the manager of the Sex Pistols, for some reason. Probably to make himself look good and get his name out there. People took what Malcolm was selling at face value and ran with it.

Punk started with the Ramones, so much so that Sid Vicious based a lot of his attitude, play style, and look on Dee Dee Ramone. Maybe Brit Punk was manufactured, but punk as a genre was not.

Punk was started by groups like the Ramones, the Stooges, and others, McLaren
n saw what was going on in New York and decided to make his own punk band.

Is it any more different than a rock star like Bruce Springsteen denouncing Trump despite making Born In The USA, or a rapper wearing BLM gear while rapping about ogling white women for attention?
Show me a picture of that. And I'll give you the exact same response.

Seeing fat elderly versions of punk stars is really depressing
What's even more depressing is the Twatterati losing their shit over irrelevant has-beens supporting Trump.

"Trumpies are so eager for celebrity endorsements"? Don't make me laugh.

To piggyback on what Meat Target said, it's even more concerning to see them react with the same shock most suburban normie moms and dads did back in the late '70s when his band was in its prime.

That's when you should realize that you lost the plot completely.

"born in the usa" (both the album and the song) is satire, iirc. as is a song like "young americans". a lot of people take those things at face value or dont attribute meaning to it at all- like how station to station was played at an rnc. what's funny is that the people denouncing johnny rotten are the poseur punk kids and the faux baby bats. there are many tiktoks from people who claim to be alt/counterculture saying "you cant be goth/alt/punk etc and a conservative!!" but dont realize that a lot of the core goth and punk aesthetic comes from nazi imagery, or realize that their views are taught to them by the establishment. really hope they dont find out about propaganda magazine, i doubt theyd be able to handle that imagery. punk has been dead and is a commodity, being sold in chain stores like hot topic. the diy and anti-establishment attitude is dead since you cant offend anymore, you cant be against the mainstream thought anymore. sorry for the ramble, just find it to be hilariously twisted that a bunch of twitter tweens are getting bent about this.

This is exceedingly evident in subgenres like Industrial, namely Ministry. You could split Ministry's discography in two, pre-dubya syndrome and post-dubya syndrome. Even if some of that stuff is still enjoyable, you can't shake off the feeling of DDS (Dubya Derangement Syndrome) oozing from the lyrics.

And how can you forget one of his latest gems, "Antifa". 5 minutes of pure cringe.

That ratio is pretty telling. But this is Al Jourgensen we're talking about, much like Tom Morello, they love to bitch and whine from the comfort of their mansions but would never consider moving their commie asses to Venezuela or North Korea.
