Don't know about revenue, but here are the recent bibliblbii stats. I don't know what festival and gorilla tenshi did that pissed off the chinese so badly.
At a glance, only the HoloEN girls, Aki and Yogiri are still in positive weekly subscriber count. There's a lot more fun stuff in the link, go poke around.

Donations wise, probably. But as much as I hate to admit it, screwing over China would fuck them over for sponsorships and tie-ins a lot. The Azur Lane stuff is huge for them, and Azur Lane is completely Chinese. And while Hololive probably clears low 6 figures in a good month from their cut of the donations, Azur Lane probably clears over $1M monthly. So, I'm sure the tie-in money (let alone the cross promotion) is nothing to sneeze at.
So, I hate this decision, but from a purely business decision I understand the logic.
