I thought it was standard procedure to fingerprint someone upon their arrest. Maybe that's how they do things up there.
yeah he mentioned just randomly peeing in places not to mention all the "wall art".His old apartment would require some major work to make it habitable for a normal person (anyone with a working olfactory sense).
his aunt is really interesting to me because she just seems completely oblivious. nick is on the phone with a teenage girl, she says, "be nice to her!". i don't have sympathy either, but she doesn't seem completely aware of the gravity of the situation.I would feel sorry for his aunt, but she seems to have been his chief enabler and shielded him from the consequences of his actions for a long time, so she gets no sympathy from me. I don't have any sympathy for his mother either, she could have gotten Nick help ages ago and possibly have prevented this.
he probably won't tbhI hope Amber's dad takes her far, far away from her and gets her the help she desperately needs to grow into a stable adult.
Unless the arresting officers grace us with their presence (and are willing to violate all kinds of policies), we'll probably never know the details of Nick's actual arrest. I know it's been said he was arrested without incident, but I wanna know if he tried to protest his innocence based on the CPS report saying no further action would be taken or what. I do wonder why his bail was so high. Maybe his aunt has slightly deeper pockets than we thought, and since they've shown a willingness to cover for him, maybe the county was justifiably worried he represented a flight risk.
I don't know about hospitals for the criminally insane, but your average everyday nuthouse has a regimen. Some have said that Chris could take a jail sentence easy because being an aspie he'd love the regimen. But seeing how Nick is so far off the rails that even wiping his ass is alien to him, he's going to be in for a hard ride while in prison, even if kept safely in segregation.
His only real hope is for his Defense to claim mental illness and suggest being sent to the Funny Farm as an alternative. Again, Nick will be a very miserable freakbag there as well (possibly hating it even more than being put in the pen), but maybe the other patients don't have a "code" against pedos like there is in prison.
it can be inferred that nick will likely not be interacting with other patients outside of a group therapy setting, and even then, it's gonna be hella limited. they wouldn't want him to be spreading (ugh) his ideas to other patients. he has some experience with mental places though, so it won't be alien to him...maybe he'll at least know how to act there.I don't know about hospitals for the criminally insane, but your average everyday nuthouse has a regimen.
If you behave yourself you get to stay in the 'good wing', where you share a room with another patient and are allowed a certain amount of freedom.
If you smear crap on the walls and creep on the other patients you go to the 'bad wing', where you'll find the straightjackets, padded rooms and beds with straps.
i liked the idea that he just made a bad impression on the bail people and tried telling them that pedophilia isn't illegal or something. "i didn't do it, so let me out. pedophilia isn't illegal unless you touch a kid, therefore, i'm not doing anything wrong, because i didn't do it." then he damns himself in admitting he is in fact a pedophile.I don't think 150k is too unreasonable considering the enormity if the charges. He's got plenty of incentive to try to make a break for it.
did i ever say one time he made cookies and came in the batter then fed it to his family? because that happened.
Didn't he also try to make jenkem in the oven?did i ever say one time he made cookies and came in the batter then fed it to his family? because that happened. he doesn't have any concept of boundaries in relation to his bodily functions, again.
this probably seems kind of random, sometimes i just remember stuff that happens
He wanted to fail high school, if I'm remembering this right. Probably related to his wanting to be the "lovable idiot" type. Why on earth is it bad for him to be "known forever as a high school graduate"? Hell, even CHRIS managed to get an associate's degree.
After six years that is. Also I'm pretty sure Nick "failed at failing high school" because he was in special ed classes. I'm not sure if he even received a legit HS diploma or if they gave him a special ed diploma. Saying this since in Florida if you're in special ed and can't pass the standardized FCAT test and/or maintain a 2.0 GPA then you end up with a "Special Diploma"/Certificate of Completion which is practically worthless and will only get you as far as vocational school and very rarely into community college, there's not even any going back to receive your GED either. So I think it's reasonable to assume that if either of them were in all regular classes they would have surely failed. Why on earth is it bad for him to be "known forever as a high school graduate"?
