As far as ideological consistency goes it's not crazy that a feudal lord could criticize feudalism, in the same way that Elon Musk is a socialist who evidently believes in using capitalism to achieve that goal (although I do find it strange that so many socialists opposed that). Socialists especially are infamous for believing that the ends justify the means.
I always lol at people who unironically use this as a positive argument for ancom beliefs or for socialism. This whole comic is a bait and switch.
I've noticed the exact same thing. I think the death of social conservatism in the US has allowed for all sorts of political anomalies not previously thought possible. The aforementioned "right wing alt girls" tend to be people who are socially liberal in a broad sense, but they hate all the SJW nonsense on the left, but they aren't communists so they don't really fit in within the dirtbag left. When you really think about it, that fact that you can't be mildly edgy anymore without being accused of being right-wing by leftists has made this inevitable.
Its also hilariously awful as an argument because Peasants had no choice but to be peasants. It was either do that, be killed by your lord for not doing it, be killed by bandits if your lord let you go, or escape and likely die in the wilderness. Millennials have a variety alternatives to expensive pseudo-sweatshop smartphones, sweatshop clothing, and every other luxury you enjoy in the modern era that comes at the cost of third world labor. Yet they choose to still buy these things and, through their own flawed arguments, support "capitalism"
look at Judith Rose. She's a bit loony but she looks exactly like a 2015 SJW, and yet she's politically a center-leftie who's "leaving the left" and voting for trump. That's going to become the norm over the next decade, if the socialists keep directing discussion on the left. By 2030, the new big thing on youtube will be alt-looking girls with libertarian-traditional personal lives, accepting of alternative sexualities and outlooks as long as they still result in happy, healthy, stable relationships (think a trad transwoman who adopts kids with her husband and fits in perfectly as a traditional, loving mother). The old religious conservatism will be gone, replaced with a more lib-conservatism that accepts superficial differences as long as the individuals involved are still trying to build toward a positive, constructive vision of their futures, in their own way. Their political opposition, meanwhile, will just be openly revolutionary socialists, screaming and shitting themselves about how they can't believe their utopianism still hasn't gotten off the ground yet. The future is literally going to be "communists vs new-libertarians".
