Never fire a warning shot. Ever. That said, grass won't completely prevent a ricochet, and depending on the angle (and soil conditions) it likely wouldn't even make a difference.

In boog's case, safest spot for it would have been his own torso. That flap could probably absorb just about any handgun.

Boogie, you invite Hassle to... hassle you. In addition, not sure you should leaning on the "IM MENTALLY ILL" crutch so hard is smart when talking about firearms ownership.... (or maybe its not even yours?)

I learned from other similar castle cases, you either shoot to kill or don't shoot at all. Warning shots are dangerous and not taken lightly by most DA's. Not sure what the future holds.
