He should've never said that

He can't change behavior he never exhibited. Vic apologized for ever making someone uncomfortable unintentionally, but the actual accusations he never admitted to, and cannot have changed because he never did them in the first place. This broken record of trying to insist he should have 'changed' requires him to be guilty of the defamatory statements. He isn't. That's why he's suing.

One thing I've learned is never apologize.

That said, it's not fatal for Vic. In his tone, especially during the fees hearing, he comes across as a bewildered man who literally has no idea what to do to keep his world from collapsing around him.

Even Chupp asked him about this. Page 109:

EDIT:

Oh yeah, was this a SLAPP? as in a suit meant to burden and silence people? 109.

Chupp pays attention for 5 seconds and slaps Lemon on the nose for harassing Vic and constantly asking him the same question over and over in the hopes of getting a better answer.

Mary McGlynn commented. I thought her and Vic were really good friends once? Or am I mistaking her for someone else? Either way, looks like she jumped on the vic man bad hate train.

The longer that it goes without Vic getting justice for himself and without people like Sabat being flogged in the streets and outed from their positions, the more people will be forced to play along with the anti-Vic nonsense. Until Vic can either prove they're all liars or someone can kick the legs out from underneath Funimation and the others, there is zero benefit to people siding with Vic and only loss.

Eh, we knew Mary Elizabeth McGlynn was on the KV side since the start of this. She's posted a few fairly milquetoast pro-KV statements back in 2019, probably because she's either uniformed and going off what other pro-KV VA's tell her or because she's keeping up appearances with the court appeals being filed and probably being a topic of discussion at the Funimation water cooler.

As far as I know, she's never been close friends with Vic or worked with him too much.

I think Michelle Ruff is the one who was close friends with Vic and liked a few KV tweets at the start of all this but otherwise seems quiet on the matter. She has gotten on Funimation's bad side from the looks of it given her being recast rather abruptly, so who knows at this point?

I've speculated that Ruff is probably either indifferent on the case or is quietly sympathetic to him but wants to keep her head down. I might be wrong (and feel free to correct me if I am) but Michelle Ruff never said anything one way or the other aside from liking some anti-Vic tweets back in February-March of 2019.

Twitter likes or retweets without any other comment might not always mean they're actually KV if it was early enough in the drama when this was all new. VA's merely liking some of the anti-Vic tweets back in February or March of last year can easily be seen as a "Cover Your Own Ass" job security move unless there's further evidence to back up their beliefs on the issue such as a comment or further posts about the case.

I honestly don't know what side Michelle Ruff is actually on in all this. Is she passively pro-KV, is she one of the fence sitters like Chuck Huber, or is she someone who did the most absolute bare minimum to avoid the cancel mobs and after that decided this was none of her business and the only winning move was not to play?

Unless we see her make a new statement on the case after the spring of 2019 (IDK if she has or not) then I'm not entirely sure where she really stands in all this or if she even factors into it at all.

Found this (cursed? not cursed?) picture of Vic and Caitlin sporting matching custom denim FMA clothes.

I hold out hope that Caitlin is still friends with him. Their friendship was really cute.
I don't. Unless she told Vic I'm gonna like tweets against you to save my own ass and he agreed, she is against him.

Real friends don't like tweets against you behind your back. Vic doesn't want a mob going for anyone and has said that. So Caitlin could have just not said anything like so many others have done.

I almost forgot she liked the tweets about the lawsuit. I still want to believe she and Vic talked things out and are still on good terms. Not because I like Caitlin so much, it's more because she and Vic seemed to be very good friends once and I don't want Vic to have to deal with losing yet another friendship important to him.

I don't remember if Svetlana has ever said anything regarding their relationship. If it's true she just abandoned him and then liked the tweets behind his back, fuck her.

If I'm being honest I trust like all of three (currently "active") voice actors. The rest are as slimy as can be and if they get shit for aligning themselves with defamatory statements or bullshit politics they 100% deserve whatever comes to them.

And looking back at their interactions with fans, so many of those seem terribly fake...
