Makes me wanna throw him back to the ocean!More specifically, a zombie fish. Since, y'know, it can 'walk' and talk.
Here's how a live blobfish looks like.

Hell, I could understand if it was a nightclub situation or something where the girl felt unsafe to say "no," and there were like 500 Spy-Vs.-Spy-level back-and-forths with the guy to safely tell him to go away ("give him a fake number" "he calls her" "have an app that makes a fake ringtone" "he asks her to pick up" etc) and he makes it seem like he's gonna hurt her if she doesn't sleep with him, but that cannot be portrayed in 4 panels. Who asks for someone's phone number while passing on the street??? I mean obviously I know the answer is "this didn't happen and she made the whole thing up" but at least try to make up something plausible, like the guy being a genuine vulgar asshole or something.i don't get why this is so offensive to her. he called her beautiful and asked for her number. that's it. its not like he whistled at her or said something vulgar like 'nice tits! wanna fuck?'. i am certain that if this was based on a real event, the guy was totally normal and trying to pay her a compliment.
I think it’s also never funny because the punchline is always "doesn’t this person reverse this, audience?" rather than being self aware of how disproportionate and unreasonable the violent response is. It’s fishing for reassurance that they’re right before anything elseAnd at that rate; I'm so tired of murder/violence being the punchline to this shit. It's disproportionate as shit and just not that funny anymore. It wasn't that funny initially, it's only funny if you also want to commit violence and you're agreeing with the mouthpiece character. If you're not psychotic and your first instinct is anything but violence, it's just trite and edgy.
I like the idea that the blue-haired girl in the comics is a mad schizophrenic who talks to a fish corpse.Fun fact: blobfish look like that after having undergone rapid decompression via being hauled to the surface by deep-sea fishing nets. They die in this process. This girl is carrying around and talking to a rotting fish corpse.
heh "fishing".It’s fishing for reassurance that they’re right before anything else
So uh... who is this meant for? The black girl is a little bit easier to watch than her friend, a few things like the OTT weed monster girl made me exhale through my nose a bit harder. But I don't get it. All of it feels like it's supposed to be satire but I can't tell what they're making fun of or why. Am I supposed to root for the two protagonists for being flawed quirky women or are they as much of a jab at annoying woke millenials as their dialogue that makes fun of white dudes and capitalism? Why should I care about anything portrayed in this cartoon when it's like hanging out with that one "friend" who complains about everything? This is like a really shit Kill la Kill with the adult humour and stripper outfits but no crazy anime soul to it, you can tell they're sticking with that safe 'ironic' humour rather than be genuine about something and taking that risk to produce something meaningful. The first episode of Magical Girl Friendship Squad (a SyFy show we talked about quiet a while ago) just came out and omg....it's so baaad.
The animation is very blocky and cheap looking, the dialogue and humor is cringe as fuck (the girls literally dab after they transform), the whole thing is (almost) 12 minutes long but it felt like 12 hours.
The two main characters are jobless, can't pay rent and all around slobs (based on their apartments) and one of the villains is a white, feminine, vegan(?), probably gay guy. The whole story is very cliché (basically evil guy wants to destroy the planet).
The transformation sequence is arip-off ofreference to the Sailor Moon transformation and the magical girl outfits are...I think they tried to make fun of magical girl outfits by making it "slutty" and the transformation sequence very sexual but it fails because the magical girl genre is mainly aimed at little girls so the outfits are usually frilly and cute (unless you count Kill la Kill which you shouldn't because it's not "magical girl" but action-comedy). The only magical girl with a revealing outfit I can think of right now is Cutie Honey and even her outfit is tame in comparison. The sexualized transformation is kinda fair but those mainly appear in animes aimed at boys or an older audiences like Flip Flappers, Magical Girl Raising Project (but that's mainly sexual outfit wise and even then it's tame in comparison) and such.
