Details: The debate will be 90 minutes long and have no commercial breaks. There will be no opening statements, and instead Wallace will dive right in with the first question to Trump. It will be divided into six 15-minute segments that Wallace has chosen. They are:
1) The Trump and Biden records;
2) The Supreme Court;
3) Covid-19;
4) the economy;
5) race and violence in cities;
6) the integrity of the election.

After the debates a poll will be posted on who you think won this first debate. Have lots of fun, keep the commentary fresh as I'm sure we've all heard many of the same lines for months and enjoy the beginning of the end of this presidential election cycle. Just as a reminder, on October 7th there will be a Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I still can't fucking believe they're trotting out that dusty pile of fucking giblets that used to be a horse at one point in time, Charlottesville, to further beat it. One woman died of a fucking heart attack in the vicinity of a car accident and they're still bringing it up, meanwhile many of the "Vote Blue No Matter Who Crew" has been out throwing explosives at cops, burning buildings, looting, dragging people out of their cars to beat them and actually executing people. Fuck's sake.

"Militia and 'white supremacists' need to stand down" they wouldn't even need to fucking stand up in the first place if these blue stronghold shitholes would let their police force do what should've been done from Day 1 or, alternatively, agree to bring in the National Guard.

Trump fought, and fought hard, against Biden and that little bitch boy Wallace and he came out ahead slightly. Not the knock-out blow I was hoping for, but Trump did well. Biden didn't have the dementia-addled breakdown or stroke I was hoping for, but he didn't do nearly as well as he needed to against Trump.
I really wanted Joe to at least get some points in; at least get his what he wants for the country in, but I still don't know. Trump being a loud and obnoxious buffoon who turns people off? It's his character, but he can tone it down a bit. Biden denied more than 2016 Trump, and even said "Wrong," as he shifted from the plastic surgery smirk to pouts.

I will say, I liked Biden's answer on policing, at least at first. It's very much in line with what I've argued here on the Farms. To be clear again, Biden is not a "Defund the Police" asshole, and I actually admired his courage in coming out against that. Let's give credit where credit is due. I am not going to vote for Biden, but I will admit to what I see in him that is good. However, Trump rightfully pointed out no police groups supported him, and the reason is pretty obvious. Biden's campaign has pandered to the anarchists and rioters, and while Biden the man may have a sober idea of what American policing needs, in NO WAY will his administration do anything about it.

Aside from the hilarity.

You want to know my actual take from this slapfight?
Biden has no policies, in the hour and a half I literally heard nothing about the specifics of what he'd do if he becomes president. Just literally DRUMPF BAD I DID NAT *smugly chuckles*.

It's the main reason why I prefer this kind of political debate, absolutely no one says any actual policy, all they do is try to appeal to my emotion, rile up some sort of hot button fear, or some other shit.

I prefer the faggotry to be obvious, like Trump, than subtle (or at the least not generic) - like Biden. Less work for me.
This really bugged me. Biden wasn't willing to take a stance on anything unless seriously challenged. Most of the time it was just 'when I take a position' or 'I have the Biden Plan™'. The Democrats really don't know who they're supposed to be playing to at this point.

Traditionally, the incumbent loses the first debate. We'll know if this is the case by a lot of reactions. I'd say the biggest one will be with how the media handles it when the manage to sort out what the fuck that just was.

If they're able to point out specific points that Biden was able to put a plan in, and not just gotcha moment bullshit. Then Biden definitely won.
If everyone retreats to their corners, points out gaffes and insults and declares their favorite won. Trump won.

If I'm doing the point thing I'll put them all at a nice 3/10. Other than the times it made me laugh, I felt like it was a waste of time.

That's sort of the interesting part, is that even though this debate got so messy, they didn't get Trump to budge away from his positions, but they basically forced Biden to denounce several things that are integral to Far-Left voters. He had to crap on Antifa, had to (dog-faced) pony up to to the police, had to confusingly shit on and support the Green New Deal, and he made it abundantly clear that Hunter Biden is an incredibly hot-button issue for him.

I'm still fascinated by Joe Biden insisting that it wasn't true that his son was dishonorably discharged from the military for being a coke-snorting idiot, though, because that's absolutely, 100% true and it was a big story years before the 2016 election. Like, that's not even a contextual mistruth or an obfuscation of certain facts, he was literally discharged for snorting cocaine. It's a blatant lie to say it's untrue.
Technically it wasn't a dishonorable discharge, that requires a court-martial. Hunter Biden almost certainly got kicked out under Other Than Honorable conditions but the little detail of dishonorable is going to be fact check fodder.

He might have been technically right there, as the article you link says that he got "administratively discharged", which is not the same as a dishonorable discharge. He probably got a OTH (other-than-honorable) administrative discharge. Still though, he got kicked out for cocaine, so Trump was right in spirit.

Hunter Biden's military service is pretty ridiculous though. He got a direct commission into the public affairs division, which iirc doesn't even require boot camp. From what I've heard it's kind of a back door for connected people who want to be able to add "veteran" to their resume.

Last time around, I was a poll watcher along with three other people who were with the local Democrat party. Today I'd be an evil nazi terrorist. I'm increasingly convinced this country won't survive this election. They've been so thorough putting the fix in with mail ballots and other shit, plus setting and then immediately contradicting narratives about delayed results, "Joe shouldn't concede", "Drumpft won't accept the results", "both must accept the results".

This debate was fun until near the end where I wanted to strangle Chris Wallace. But yeah, enjoy what time we have until November 3rd. I don't see anything good coming

Parental figure feels Biden won despite supporting Trump, but the reason they think that is because Trump was so aggro that he came off as defensive and rude while Biden came off as more congenial. However, I'd argue that's also how Trump came off in the 2016 debates, so I don't think this has broken from form. Once again, Trump ends up debating the moderator more than the opponent, as he gets the hard, leading questions and Biden gets the easy stuff.

My point earlier about Trump shooting himself in the head was in reference to him not explicitly disavowing nazis or whatever. My point is, that's all the news media will talk about until the election, shitty hill to die on imo. And white nationalists hate Trump anyway for being Israels bitch, there is literally no downside to disavowing.

I know I'm probably late, just leave clocks, I'm still catching up.

Lol these fucking drama queens. So out of touch. What were they expecting? A fucking tea party? No, bitch. We came to see two old men fight it out like two old men fucking fight it out, bitch and we got what we fucking wanted.

Telling the Proud Boys to stand down and stand by is telling them to fuck off and do nothing.

Hell, one of his most-important stances would be what he intends to do with the Supreme Court, whether or not he intends to "pack" it, and who he plans to nominate, and he blatantly refused to answer that question because "it would become a big deal." Yeah, it's kind of important for the public to know what a potential Presidential elect plans to do with the core Judicial system tasked with overseeing the adherence to the U.S. Constitution.

That's the fucking point, Joe.
