Details: The debate will be 90 minutes long and have no commercial breaks. There will be no opening statements, and instead Wallace will dive right in with the first question to Trump. It will be divided into six 15-minute segments that Wallace has chosen. They are:
1) The Trump and Biden records;
2) The Supreme Court;
3) Covid-19;
4) the economy;
5) race and violence in cities;
6) the integrity of the election.

After the debates a poll will be posted on who you think won this first debate. Have lots of fun, keep the commentary fresh as I'm sure we've all heard many of the same lines for months and enjoy the beginning of the end of this presidential election cycle. Just as a reminder, on October 7th there will be a Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
You can view Joe Biden's megathread here, and Donald Trump's megathread here

Technically he's a enemy head of state who's called the President (past and present) much worse. Personally I don't think it's much of an insult and I get the feeling Kim likes Trump.

The two men know they can talk and do business. If anyone has noticed, don't seem to see a whole lot of hateful rhetoric against the USA from NK these days. Sure beats the shit out of another war, and gives the lie to everyone who said Trump would get us into a war. Believe there's a chance for more progress during the second term.

You can really tell Trump won the debate because the media seems to be playing up the MUH DECORUM narrative.
IMO it's less that Trump won and more that Biden lost.
Neither had a particularly good performance, but Trump's was at least on brand. Biden meanwhile wasn't quite the 'nice guy' they had been advertising him as, he looked comparatively weak, and he shat on parts of the democratic coalition

Trump's "shoot from the hip" style of debating cost him a few moments where he could have hammered Biden pretty hard in rebuttal. But even so, he caught Biden out a few times, forcing him to disavow the Green New Deal was pretty big, and asking Biden to name one law enforcement agency that endorses him to the sound of crickets was good, although it won't matter. The people who are for the GND hate the police and would vote for a serial killer over Trump anyway.

My friends and I had a watch party for this last night, we have people all over the political spectrum, but the majority are left-leaning. You know things are bad when all 6 of the Trump-hating 20-something years old were relentlessly mocking Biden for looking straight up confused at times.

I really gave my hopes up. I thought this was going to be a debate where people would talk instead of being a shouting pissfest.

The only way this is going to be civil if the next moderator pulls a fucking Boogie and fires a warning shot at the stage when it gets like it did this time around.
lol pussy.

For people that are saying that Trump was rude, dude, the MSM were going to shit on him anyway, this was his chance to politically eviscerate Biden while having him nearby, Trump manage to make him shit on Antifa and pass 90 minutes lost in thought while Trump and the Moderator were literally carrying all the debate for themselves

You know you have hitted a new low when Hillary was better in debates than you

I don’t think anyone is assuming you are democrat, but you do seem to be somewhat uninformed regarding some of debate topics

Mainly because I just don't care. People are going to be fucking bombing and burning down buildings, shooting each other and whatnot election night. It's going to transpire into the week afterwards. Pretty much everyone's safety is at risk, no matter who wins.

The US as we know it is ending and I'm okay with it. We're on the brink of civil war, and I've accepted that I'm probably going to get shot in the street for nothing.

Trump denouncing White supremacy would be like Biden denouncing ANTIFA.

Notice how when ANTIFA was railed on by Trump, the moderator quickly changed the topic.

Trump saying to Proud Boys "stand back, stand by" means he is acutely aware of their existence or he is mixing up people fighting back against ANTIFA as Proud Boys.

Now, what Trump could've done was thrown it back at Biden with Richard Spencer's support of Biden and Biden could've disavowed his support. Or he wouldn't even know who Spencer was.

They both know they have extremists on both sides, but they keep mum about it as they don't want to lose voter support. Not only from them, but that would isolate the "normies" or increase the radical support.

So, I proudly reiterate:

O.K. Boomer.

With all due respect, Hillary was a worthy foe. A literal living snake in suit.

Biden is just a dead corpse paraded around by his handlers. Literally.

If Joe had a wire and did that badly in the debate, that only makes it worse for him, honestly. It means he was being fed lines and he still couldn't stay on topic or answer the questions he was asked.

In Joe's defense, it is very difficult to listen to lines in one ear, listen to your opponent in the other ear, and repeat the lines with good timing. Even a fully functioning, mentally agile person would struggle without extensive training and practice. Its hard enough just repeating what they are saying without errors, in your natural voice and cadence.

It was a total mess.

Extremely enjoyable to watch, Biden's extreme arrogance courtesy his pathetic ass-kissing wife makes him even funnier when he has to interact with people who don't even like him a little; Trump knew he couldn't cede control to Wallace and kept up an admirable pace of reply and interjection. 10/10 exceeded expectations even without Biden getting another bloody eye.

That's the way it goes with nuclear armed states. In the 1950s, Khrushchev was literally threatening to bury the USA, but nothing came of it because starting a hot war with a nuclear state is just signing a national suicide note.

If there was going to be a war, it would have been Iran. They don't have nuclear weapons and it's possible that the Soleimani assassination could have escalated into something very bad under foolish leadership. As it stands it doesn't look like that will go bad either.

He had a few good villian moments last night, like when he declared himself the entirety of the Democrat Party and told Trump he won't be allowed to win when voter fraud was brought up.

I didn't watch the debates because I work nights, but Biden must've not done too well.

I say that because instead of talking about how great Biden was, all of the leftys on my Normiebook are just jumping up and down and screaming about Trump's proud boys line, beating it to death like a pack of kebabs beating a white woman.

When Hillary and Orange Man debated, they were at least picking out and praising actual things Hillary said.

He's done it like 15 fucking times, even during the last election cycle. It's clear as fucking day he's not a white supremacist and that this is a gotcha type question. Everyone that thinks Trump is a wignat will never change their mind about it, meanwhile it's blatantly obvious to everyone else (even those that dislike him), that he isn't one. It's like the tax return angle, it's so overused that it has lost all effectiveness as a political strategy.
Also, the only people that were affected by it were those that weren’t going to vote for Trump in the first place.
