Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

But... Why? Why the rear of the train? Who is running this campaign? Do they want video in case Biden's campaign causes a train to literally fly off the tracks?

It's honestly probably meant to be symbolic of how Biden rode Amtrak from Delaware to DC for work when he was in the senate but with the way his campaign has bungled around so much it might as well be a train flying off the tracks unless he's also trying to latch on to Trump's "MAGA train" gimmick.

Oh, the stream came back. I kind of wish it didn't.

They are really trying to push for PA aren't they?

I knew they would after it went red in '16, they are still fucking pissed about it. I will say that in my corner of the Keystone state, only transplants or bleeding hearts have Biden lawn signs compared to the ocean of signs, banners, billboards, etc. of Trump ads. Fuck off Joe. We don't care if you're from Scranton, you're a Delawarean dipshit to us.

B-but it's Scranton vs. Park Avenue...!

If he loved Scranton and the blue-collar life so much, he'd have never left for Delaware in the first place. I had no idea the dude hailed from here until he won the nomination. He's no homecoming Son to the actual working class here. He's a total stranger.
Because no one in Delaware is blue collar. Anything north of the canal is generally referred to as Deep-South Philly. But, most of the industry jobs are up north, so, even people in New Castle County are pretty blue collar, themselves. You must be thinking of Rhode Island.

Bush 41 tried a whistlestop train tour after his convention in '92, as an attempted one-up response to the Clinton-Gore bus tour.

It didn't really work, and just sort of highlighted the contrast between the Dem ticket being younger, and Bush thinking he was Truman in 1948. Going "Old school" is fine unless it inadvertently highlights a perceived weakness.

What about Wilmington? I've seen that considered rust belt.

Wouldn't even be the funniest thing to happen this year.

but it would be pretty close

The DNC would probably consider it a mercy at this point.

I remember John Stewart making fun of Biden for this back in the day.

Trains though. Like this is the late 1800's or something. Or Atlas Shrugged, the movies of which still had trains as central to the plot despite being "updated."
