Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

And it’s not like Nick blew a major opportunity to give Vic the upper hand; everyone (even Nick himself) said that amicus briefs are a pointless endeavor and if what you say is true, the chances of such briefs getting accepted are the same as Greg being a responsible dad. They’re trying to find an excuse to dunk. That’s really what it is.

You know what’s sad about this? Even though for once lawtwitter has a legitimate reason to criticize Nick, they still can’t get it right and they somehow look dumber than Nick. Let’s not laugh at Nick for overlooking one aspect that prevented his brief getting filed. No, let’s accuse Nick for committing a crime. God, these people are hopeless. There should be a law banning people with severe mental and emotional disabilities from accessing the Internet.
What's really sad is that these people openly despise Nick Ricotta, and fail at every turn to own him. The absolute best they can do is misquote law at him and call him "Screech" like it's some big gotcha.

We, generally speaking, support nick in this subforum and do a better job of making fun of the him. Here I'll do it rn:
Nick says he didn't get asked to pay a fee when he filed the brief but we all really know he just didn't grift enough super chats this weekend to pay for the Whiskey Fund ™️ and pay for the brief, let's be real.

Short, sweet and personal.

Dont forget it was Law Twatter who shit their pants and reeeeeeeeeeeeeed for a week over Nick writing such a document. So they and Ron are very scared things will turn around for Vic in appeals and they will reeeeee reeeeee reeee all the way to the buffet table because..They Are FAT & have NO Life.

Nick is a fag and all of his kids are actually Drexel's

I think nobody should ask uninvolved actors at cons about Vic. It's pointless anyway, since they're never going to give a honest answer to a complete stranger. It's also simply awkward and ruins the fun for everyone.

Don't do it.
Remember everyone, this is between Vic and Rial and everyone who have been actively engaging themselves in this shitfest. Do not stir things up and do not meddle outside of this site. I'm not a mod but another subrule of No Trolling Plans: No starting shit off site and offline. Do not influence, do not represent, and do not interfere. We do not know you if you do.

If I recall correctly (I could be wrong), I remember seeing a screenshot of Rial claiming that she "knows" Vic is responsible for the trolling and harrassment she has received. If anyone has that screenshot, can you link it? I would truly like to know what evidence she has to prove that Vic is responsible for any of that."
He's "responsible" for the "trolling and harassment" because he was supposed to go kill himself and he didn't. Because Vic is always responsible for the actions of other people. Because they're fucking lunatics.

Was going to put in his thread but it needs to be seen here. Ron found Vic's yelling at homophobic Christian's video. I thought it was impossible but he made an attempt to spin this around

Well that was a nice attempt at therapy

Well here's a bit of context you sad little man. Those people were harassing fans at a con and Vic wanted to step in and help.

I mean its not like his religion is being used in a hateful manner something that he strives to tell not to do. Why would he ever be so angry?

He then wants to talk that guy and tell him about Vic. So yeah he doesn't know

Vic's never had hair plugs, not sure about plastic surgery (I don't think so tho) and so what about botox? His ex fiance raved about botox. Your personal fucking fiance probably does it. You probably do it. So what?

Vic had every right to be mad at people telling kids they would go to hell just for being themselves and having innocent fun. Do you know how many "Christian" people tell kids they'll go to hell just from watching anime? Vic was told growing up that Star Wars was demonic and he had to sneak around to watch it. I've dealt with that myself.

Turning one of the best videos of Vic I've seen into something negative. Fuck you, Ron.

Yeah yeah tophats

Nick's brief got rejected because of lack of PHV admission (or "Pro Has Vice"), so he's going to try again. Also, note the highlighted portion and how the defendants spelled Vic as "Vig". I don't know what's sadder: their pathetic attempt at a potshot or their continuing belief that Nick is somehow Vic's agent.

Archive is acting up for some reason. If anyone could archive this before me, greatly appreciate it.

Everyone gets frustrated with those people, especially other Christians. Vic tried to connect to them Christian-to-Christian, and speak reason, and then he got frustrated when the street preachers were absolutely unreasonable and didn't consider him a Christian because he didn't fall in line. It's amazing that Ron doesn't know the kickvic line is 'Vic did it for the camera' and tried to make up his own deranged hit spin on it instead.

@Ron Toye you have no room, ever, to talk about other people having 'anger problems'. Until you have video of Vic beating his wife with a remote in a fit of rage, you don't get to talk.
Ron is SO OBSESSED with making everyone hate Vic/to know what THEY DID to Vic that he wants to find some random street preacher with whom Vic had a conflict and brag about it...

What is wrong with Ronald Joseph Toye III?!

That preacher wouldn't listen to Ron and wouldn't be on his side. That preacher would hate him for living with Monica while they're not and never will be married.

Incidentally, if the lawtwitter worms have come in here to try to accuse Nick of a crime, I wonder what's coming down the pipe? Did someone hear a little bird suggest the Appeals might be making a decision soon? Is another scandal about Ron about to pop up? Did Monica get passed over for a role?

To back up a whole bunch, it seems to me the relevance of Nick being licensed to practice law in Texas is predicated on the filing of an amicus brief being an act of "practicing law." Is that the case?

That strikes me as absurd, and I thought we agreed earlier in some other thread that that wouldn't be the case, but perhaps it was after all?

Nick filed the brief representing his company, which requires you to be a Texan lawyer. Filing as himself/pro se doesn't require you to be a Texan lawyer, which is why he refiled it pro se.

Pretty much this. If you feel you must "do the right thing" or some other moralfag bullshit, go do it. Under another identity. Don't come back here and expect asspats for it. If it really is the right thing that should be its own reward, don't beg for approval.

He should have done that in the first place and distracting from the case in this way is not useful. It invites motion practice from the other side in which they can pull bullshit themselves. This is the last thing anyone should want. It is obvious Nick is not a friend of the court, he is a friend of one of the parties, putting this brief into he category of inimical amicus briefs that aren't anything that amicus curiae implies.

Honestly I am not even surprised that it didn't go through.
But at least it will make for more views and super chats for Nick when he'll talk about it in a few days.
I am genuinely starting to have mixed feelings about how it will go.

Nick has already confirmed that his amended filing was also rejected for failure to apply for PHV. While it is true that the rules allow non-attorneys to file amicus briefs the rule for PHV, Texas Government Code § 82.0361, doesn't distinguish between amicus briefs and any other type of submission - if you are licensed in another state you have to apply for PHV status to file anything. It is ironic that out of state attorney status actually has higher requirements than anyone else filing, but that is the way the appellate court is interpreting the rules.

So now he can either apply for PHV and pay the $250 fee or he can get a real attorney with a Texas license to file it for him.

I would say best move is not to fuck with the appellate court and quit annoying them with bullshit.
