Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

We still looking for more TLJ bashing?
(He won't mention it much, but the movie strikes me exactly how someone who has never actually been in a leadership position, imagines how a leadership position behaves - and by that, I mean feminists.)
except you know, directing which is a leadership role. When an actor says "whats the plan, Rian?" he doesn't say "have faith" he gives them a script and tells them where to stand. if admiral holo was instead admiral johnson. it would have said "see than planet, we're going to land there while we blow up our ship and they won't be able to hit us in the debris." then oscar would say "that sounds like shit" and the same plot happens regardless.

also checking in on this thread after a couple hundred pages. i really love how close the stuff in the movies is to the concept art, it reminds me of reading first drafts of scripts (like Frank's indiana jones 4) and seeing how its still 97.9-99.7% still there. just a little bit of cleaning up.

As for he discussion on worlds pre and post disney. its because when lucas and others created species it was completely from scratch and then taking logic and inferences into account for it. Of course the clones would have features from the Kaminoans. And because the planet is aqautic so are the species that live there, and because they are aquatic they have fins and gills.

meanwhile Disney its like, "half head" "big worm" "hair dryer on wheels" "ball" because the creators dont care to take time to think through their concepts for the species. its like asking some kid drawing pokemon to create a house vs someone with an autoCAD degree. Only one of those people would try and make everything make sense and work and fit together.

Hutt Slayer Leia? I bet no one at all uses that since we've always known it as Slave Leia.

It's a perfect little example of the retardation of modern culture, for literal decades people just called it the "slave Leia" outfit but somehow we're now expected to call it a different name now because muh feminism. uh huh.

To make matters worse I believe there was a decree that there be no more merchandise featuring the outfit as well (I think of a 2002 action figure of Slave Leia that was cool) because Heaven forbid we remember Carrie Fisher as sexy.

So Ive been playing a lot of the thrawns revenge mod for empire at war and though I suck at it I enjoy all the references to the eu. For example stuff like the ships used, the names of the warlord factions and little things like Jerec being affiliated with the pentastar alignment and Screed showing up as one of Zsinj's commanders. Another detail I love is that the imperial factions especially the pentastar alignment have been forced to use clone wars era ships to fillo up their fleets

Not really - well, maybe on some of his earlier projects. ASSISTANT directing is closer to a leadership role. The director generally just yells at people, he doesn't have to inspire confidence.

I think that has been relaxed as there was some new slave leia figure if I recall.

Also, you're missing the point, which is co-op their coopting.
Now if you'll exclude me, I need to go open my Slave Leia coplayer folder and go slay the Hutt.

I think the Slave Leia outfit is pretty solid evidence that either Lucas or his costume designers were big fans of Frank Frazetta.

It's clearly a nod to Frank Frazetta. Leia's outfit wouldn't be amiss for Dejah Thoris or Thuvia of Ptarth on any of the John Carter book covers or in some of the art they include inside.

As for the current case of not wanting to release it, this is another case of Kennedy getting assmad over something her former boss and current daddy fixation had in a movie most likely.

People back in the day had an appreciation for beauty and could separate fiction from real life. Nowadays, we ain't so lucky. You come out with a cover like that, and cries of sexism will fall upon you faster than you can say "women's rights."

It got to the point where I'm not so confident about releasing stories I've written in the past, because I know there's people who will attack me for being a sexist.

However, note that if you only have half-naked men and no scantily-clad girls, nobody will protest. In fact, the feminists will like it. But they will crucify you if they catch you promoting Slave Leia or having girls in your stories that are as scantily clad as these.

Wasn't it stated to be a homage to Dejah Thoris in John Carter?

The whole "sexy = sexist" idea is one of the worst things to ever happen to pop culture, just where did people get this asinine idea?

People like sexy bodies, male or female, it's not any more sexist to show a woman scantily clad than it is to show a guy shirtless.

It wasn't even that long ago that things were different, I think of the 2012 movie Magic Mike, which had Channing Tatum and other beefy guys dancing around in thongs, but also had a topless Olivia Munn for us dudes.

I picked up star wars squadrons, likely completely in error since i'm already seeing steam forums shitposts about "the lovely character diversity"
I'm also being forced to setup and use a Windows 10 x64 bit VM for the first time ever because the game literally has a .dll which integrates into the WINDOWS APP STORE and based on its documentation SHOULD NOT ACTUALLY BE IN THE PRODUCTION COPY OF THE GAME.
I am mad on the internet alright.
