Shit You Think is Spooky/Disturbing - Beware! You're in for a scare...

This wikipedia page about conjoined twin sisters.

Their life is pretty sad and lonely but their death is nightmare fuel.

The Hiltons' last public appearance was at a drive-in in 1961 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Their tour manager abandoned them there, and with no means of transportation or income, they were forced to take a job in a nearby grocery store, where they worked for the rest of their lives.[7]

On January 4, 1969, after they failed to report to work, their boss called the police. The twins were found dead in their home, victims of the Hong Kong flu. According to a forensic investigation, Daisy died first; Violet died between two and four days later.[8] They were buried in Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte.

Imagine being stuck half dead in a limbo during 2-4 days with the most important person in your life dead and stuck to your body

Deep fakes. Think of all the fake news stories in the past few years that were basically nation wide journalistic attempts to socially lynch private citizens that failed because video evidence smashed their narrative. Now imagine what's going to happen when deep fakes get so sophisticated that video evidence can no longer be trusted, and propagandists put out phony videos to support their narratives and compete with the real videos, if real video footage even exists.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Eh no need to worry about that bro, I'm sure congress will pass strong reasonable legislation to make sure this can't happen.

:optimistic:

MRI scans.

The atheist idea that dead is dead and there's nothing beyond it. It started roughly around the first time I read pet sematary and it mentioned Louis Creed didn't believe in life after death, and that most doctors in general don't. I spent days even weeks reading articles and pieces on life after death, ndes, and whatever I could to try and find some thing be it faith or science based that says there's more to our own mortality than we know.

Google pics of Alice Krieg in "Ghost Story" from 1982.
Skeleton make-up and special FX are too spooky to post.

And yes, I'm rattled by a pre-CGI skelly that resembles the real thing...Go check it out.

I've only had sleep paralysis once and I'm really fucking glad I read about it beforehand. After a while of having nightmares and going back to sleep I fell into sleep paralysis; it felt like gravity had increased and I was being pulled down into my bed, and there was this sound like a bunch of people whispering that seemed to swirl around my head. I'd read about lucid dreaming, which mentioned sleep paralysis, and it said the quickest way to get out is to hold your breath for a few seconds, which will usually fully wake you up. I was trying to move my arms when I tried holding my breath, so the moment I got control of my body back I ended up punching myself in the face.

0/10, would not recommend sleep paralysis.

Wh-- goats? Why goats?
If you watch The Witch (2015) ( p boring, but historically accurate), the goats are kinda fucking sinister.
The one goat 'Black Phillip' is actually an avatar of Satan and talks to the little girl... Getting her to become a Witch.

Gave me a new perspective of goats. Also goat eyes look demonic.
I'll give @Pocket Dragoon a pass. Goats CAN be scary.

(but they also make me laugh like hell when they spit and bleat at people)

Windows on the first floor after dark, and closed shower curtains. The idea that something I can't see could possibly see me scares the hell out of me. I can't use the bathroom at night with the shower curtain closed.

A tweaker couple left their 3 year old in a hot car for approximately 13 hours and he didn't make it in my hometown. Children being left in cars is not a rarity but stuff like this just "doesn't happen" in a town this size. The idea of that happening to me is pretty terrifying.

And when I figured out what the new forum background is, I tensed up.

EVPs. Even if the vast majority of them are fake there are some pretty creepy ones out there, such as "I have the body of a pig." First time I heard this one it haunted me for days.

Also the woods. Maybe it’s because of all the horror qualities tied to them with movies and whatnot but they’ve always made me feel uneasy, like there’s something lurking. The Goosebumps episode of The Werewolf of Fever Swamp scared the shit out of me as a kid and no doubt contributed to this. Kudos to anyone who actually lives in the woods because I sure as hell couldn’t.

The Dyatlov Pass incident: there's probably a mundane explanation (that we'll never know) but there is so much spooky shit surrounding the case, it gets my woowoo juices flowing.
one body was missing both its eyes, and one was missing a tongue.
Russia opened a new investigation into the incident in 2019, and its conclusions were presented in July 2020: that the cause of death was hypothermia due to a combination of an avalanche, forcing the group to leave their camp, combined with low visibility.
LMAO what.

Having spent too many years in the heat, I've been painfully aware of how quickly it gets lethally hot.

It's absolutely unfathomable to me how people can leave their kids in a vehicle, especially with the motor/AC running.

That's like tickling Murphy's asshole.

Pro-tip; exterior spotlights, preferably motion sensor.

Nobody can see in your house if they're being blinded.
