Shit You Think is Spooky/Disturbing - Beware! You're in for a scare...

If you watch The Witch (2015) ( p boring, but historically accurate), the goats are kinda fucking sinister.
The one goat 'Black Phillip' is actually an avatar of Satan and talks to the little girl... Getting her to become a Witch.

Gave me a new perspective of goats. Also goat eyes look demonic.
I'll give @Pocket Dragoon a pass. Goats CAN be scary.

(but they also make me laugh like hell when they spit and bleat at people)

Goats are like clowns except actually funny and loveable. And delicious, but I've not tasted clown meat so I can't say as to that.

Speaking of extreme heat, there's also the Death Valley Germans. It's a German family who, for some unknown reason, decided to drive a rental minivan into Death Valley and proceeded to wander and die there with their two children. The feds couldn't find their remains for years, until a pair of off-duty search and rescue hikers took up the case out of curiosity.

This is pretty fucking scary.

Imagine dying and your parents parade out an ai generated digital ghost of you in an attempt to get people to vote. That's some black mirror shit right there.
This is Jaystation and McCrudden if they had a child level of disgusting. Pyrocynical was right on "you can't even die right on Youtube", except now it's slowly more on other social medias.

My biggest fears are trypophobia and loud noises. I love horror media, which constantly relies on jumpscares (unless it's written or illustrated, thankfully). Apparently, I'm a huge glutton for punishment. I know a lot of people think trypophobia is silly, but I think the best way I can describe it is that it's like things either being diseased or burrowed through by insects or parasites.
This is pretty fucking scary.

I don't care what kills me; if anyone I know makes a mocap PSA out of my corpse, I'm gonna start flipping tables and making blood come out of the walls.

Sleep paralysis isn't too scary once you recognize it for what it is. Then you get rid of it by being ANNOYED.

Last time I had sleep paralysis (complete with an old hag/demon) was a year ago when I was staying at a shitty hotel room. The AC was either on full blast or off so my sleep was interrupted with being too hot or too cold. Eventually I entered the between stage of being awake and sleeping. I suddenly saw a demon. He was speaking in tongues while rustling through my luggage. I knew I was in sleep paralysis and was already so fucking tired that I just got annoyed. At the turn of emotion, the demon stopped going through my bag and started saying "WO LO LO".

I love to have nightmares especially with psychos or monsters. At least they are exciting to recall and sometimes funny unlike anxiety work/school/family dreams.

trypophobia doesn't exist go back to tumblr

this scares me

I hate centipedes, millipedes, any long thing with a lot of legs.
Strangely, I'm not scared of spiders at all, though. Nor snakes or eels. It has to be long and have more than 4 legs.
Deep fakes. Think of all the fake news stories in the past few years that were basically nation wide journalistic attempts to socially lynch private citizens that failed because video evidence smashed their narrative. Now imagine what's going to happen when deep fakes get so sophisticated that video evidence can no longer be trusted, and propagandists put out phony videos to support their narratives and compete with the real videos, if real video footage even exists.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
This is pretty fucking scary.

Between deepfakes, Adobe's audio editing shit, and fake people, who knows where shit is going?

It's like they didn't know it's not called "Death Valley" just for giggles.

Lucid dreaming more or less "ruined" nightmares for me, since I can just fly or bitch slap them or whatever I feel like.

There's been all kinds of weird sounds captured by the NOAA hydrophone array. The wikipedia page has samples to listen to. Whistle and Slowdown are especially creepy.

A few years ago, back when my husband was my boyfriend, we put these sounds on a playlist to just listen to and laid on his living room floor and talked about how cool things we don't know are like in space and the ocean and just how big ot all is compared to us.

When we started that evening these sounds creeped me out and now I just associate them with the first night I really saw myself spending my life with this guy. They're kinda warm and nostalgic to me.

A thing that creeps me out? The idea that you can just disappear and no one might ever figure out what happened to you. I don't mean like aliens, or anything but sometimes people just vanish forever and leave their loved ones to worry and wonder. I'm always afraid it's going to happen to people I know and love.

Abandoned buildings, even in my small town there are several and you just know that's where the shady shit is happening. Hell, the house across the street from mine is abandoned and sometimes I really have to stare at a specific upstairs window because I can't figure out if it's been opened or not but it's been two years and the closest thing to occupants I've seen is kids that have graffitied up the garden fence.

Still creeps me out though and I wish someone would buy the place.
