Ok. Maybe this is a good lesson for everyone who likes to consider themselves a "political animal". Whenever the death of a leader happens, no good can come up from it. And before you start bringing the 9th grader Hitler example, for those who served and survived under his rule life was pretty much over when Berlin fell and I hope I don't need to remind you he is your president, no matter how hard you think you can autistically screech. That's a hard fact.

Now, in my humble opinion, I don't think he'll die. COVID is a strange virus. It doesn't affect everyone the same way and the reasons are sometimes genetic, sometimes pre-existing conditions and sometimes merely circumstantial. I've lost close relatives to COVID as well as friends who merely had a simple fever for a day after they caught it . I might have had it too but I'm not willing to get anywhere near a hospital to confirm it (that's how the ones I knew died). It's a game of chance with the only real factor at play being "If you have weak ass health, it's more probable it'll get you" but that's it. And even if he's a fatso with poor eating habits, I can't think of anyone better covered by any health care system in the planet.

The real question here is what's left for the rest of the American people and the world? Given the current political climate, the least thing I expect from the rioting crew is death wishes and more rioting but for the common folk at home, trying to survive the virus, the isolation, the collapsing economy, depression, loneliness, fear, autism, etc. is a silent pray for things not to sink any deeper. If Trump dies, things will get worse in every conceivable way because nothing good comes from the death of a leader, ever.

Democracy must continue. Voting should not be cancelled. For those who are not reactionary morons or delusional menchildren, you'll understand.

Well, if he bites it, I have to say that Republicans uneasy with Trump will feel better about Pence, and Republicans who love Trump will still vote for Pence. There‘s a Boomer meme going around that juxtaposes a picture of burning and rioting against a generic picture of well maintained homes and yards, and identifies the first as what Dems want, and the latter as what Republicans want. That could be effective...if the Republicans could convince me that is what they really want. With Trump, though, he’s too chaotic to carry a message of everybody sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up. He interferes with the message that, like it or not, the majority of people who actually get out and vote want to hear. I ain’t mad about Amy whatshername. Because the left has gone so far I think it’ll do us good to have her on the court.

Four to eight years with Pence will be better than who knows what with Dems. I would rather return to more Christian values than see what kinds of new special privileges troons, SJWs, and POCs would get handed by Dems. This country needs a reset. I think Trump is too chaotic to function as needed for that. He’s done his part, and a cooler head would actually get my vote, even if that head is kind of empty.

I‘m tired of people acting like the US was never any good. Not because I’m super patriotic, but because it is unhealthy for a nation’s psyche to demand its citizens hate it. This is bad for us all.

Not even death, there have been cases involving long term effects from Covid. High histamine levels leading to pain, shortness of breath, headaches etc that go on for month. Just yesterday there was an article about a 40 year old personal trainer who is wheelchair bound due to all the post covid issues. Even assuming he doesn't die, he could be unlucky and end up plagued by these issues, possibly incapacitating him.

Imo Pence needs to be on standby and the Republicans need to force ACB through to the Supreme Court, because I am sure some faggot lawyer will try to throw the legal book at Trump and Pence about ability to run, or argue that election should be delayed, or some other gay, bad optics legal play.

Pence is milky toast. He is a pussycat. An incoherent Trump would be more effective as a president than a laser-guided, peak-form-ed, electrically-charged Pence. Of course Republicans would be more comfy with him, he's mostly cast in their image. I cannot imagine what him as president would be like. If that happens I only hope that he is an implacable, unswerving joke, though his history of being cowed suggest that would not be.

Anything would be better than a Biden/Harris, or any Democrat, really, but Pence... he just seems like such a non-entity.

And going back to the Spanish Flu Pandemic since people (in general, I'm not referring to the farms) have continually made references to that event, claimed the lives of just one percent of humanity. For COVID-19 to have the same impact it would need to kill 78 million people globally. And remember when the WHO and CDC in March said that COVID-19 was going to be three times worse than the Spanish Flu?

Good for you, others aren't so lucky. My wife is a nurse, she's been on the front line of this the entire time. The danger with this virus isn't that it kills anywhere near everybody, but it can, for no discernible reason, kill anybody.
