I'm not sure. There was some evidence that he was going to win again and I have a feeling even if he died his supporters would still want the VP as head of state. Pence is a much better choice to be president. He's younger by a decade plus than Trump or the nearly 80 year old Joe Biden.

Where is this shortness of breath claim coming from? It wasn't in the White House report, all I'm seeing is articles saying "a source told us this." Shortness of breath like a day after getting tested positive seems sketchy.

You have to consider that symptom progression can occur very quickly within some (symptom manifestation can occur within 2-14 days of sufficient exposure), and he was reportedly looking unwell since Wednesday.

That said, @It's HK-47 has a point. Someone as controversial and high profile as Trump being hospitalized for an illness that poses a pronounced danger to him given his age and weight is going to have much speculation done about him, some of that being passed around as actual news.
