Another problem with actually asking is it puts you in a problematic situation if you get told no. Because then do you go ahead and do it anyway? If you were going to do it regardless of whether you asked, why bother asking? And if you get told no and do it anyway, now there's a record of you having asked and been denied permission. This makes it look as if you believed you needed permission, instead of believing your conduct was already lawful and you didn't need permission for it, which is usually going to be the case.

This is especially true if you're clipping stuff where people are not happy about the original content for whatever reason, either because it's become drama or because it is now making them look bad somehow.

I suspect PO has a pretty similar opinion of Zoom. I don't watch that much of PO's content but I've watched him have interactions with Zoom's groupies in the past. I think PO has the right attitude for dealing with Zoom, ie barely acknowledging Zoom as a human being, and only engaging with him up until the point where it becomes boring.

PO isn't a great speaker, but he doesn't get worked up or agitated easily, and seems pretty much impervious to JMK and Zoom's shit.

I think PO may be the biggest winner from the recent spate of IBS. He's got his tech sorted, people like Godwinson and PPP know they can come on and do their routine when they want. He lets people talk, and only kicks guests off when chat start getting bored.

I think it's possible a year from now PO will be occupying the space Ralph did at his peak.
