The weird part is, this isn't even the October Surprise. An October Surprise isn't something that is completely out of people's control, which is what Trump catching the coronavirus is. Ruth Bader Ginsburg dying, on the other hand, is something she could have controlled to an extent since she could have stepped down before Trump got elected president. It's possibly the wildest election cycle we ever had and yet we instinctively realize there are still more twists and turns left. It's exciting yet nerve-wrecking to witness the election in real time.
I believe that if Trump recovers in a couple of weeks that he will go back to doing rallies, possibly even do one more debate with Biden. He'd no doubt play up the narrative that being the anti-lockdown president, he beat the virus and as such, we no longer need to do lock down policies.
