Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

I don't get it. Is this some sort of tradition?

Why do presidents sign with different pens again?

To sell them. Straight-up that's why Obama's signing his name with twelve different pens, so that they can sell all of them as "Pens used by President Obama to sign a document." It's essentially the equivalent of having some rock star sit there and sign a bunch of plastic frontplates, attaching the frontplates to shitty cheap guitars, and selling them for 1000% markup. Just that with presidential pens, especially Obama ones, it's probably more like a 100,000% markup.

Yep. Using multiple pens for one bill goes back to FDR, but I think Obama was the first one to use a different pen for each letter. (Bush II didn't do it though, 1 pen per signing.)

Apparently Trump uses the same Rhode Island pen supplier as previous Presidents, but he gets his custom pens gold-plated.

I wouldn't be surprised if the narrative actually shifts to the China-approved "the virus came from the US in the first place" party line at some point in the not-too-distant future.
They've been trying this already, supposedly it was cooked up on a military base and then the US military personnel went to China to unleash it. Also saw an article about testing sewers near a university campus in Spain(I think, cannot confirm as I've slept since then) supposedly coronavirus-19 has been down there since Spring 2019.

I think that's exhausting and a waste. Just use a single pen and use it until it runs out

It's insane how the media's consumption by TDS has pretty much let China completely off the hook for unleashing the coof in the first place. The narrative is nothing but "Orange Man responsible for 200k+ deaths" with zero mention of all the bullshit China got up to back when this started, and are still doing today. The fuckers unleashed a pandemic (that may or may not have originated in one of their labs but haha whoops everyone who worked there died of sudden acute lead poisoning, what a shame), didn't tell anyone shit about it until it had already spread worldwide, bought up medical supplies around the globe and shipped them back home for their own use, and attempted to profit off of the Wu Flu by selling back inferior products to desperate nations. But nobody in the media and few in government are bringing this up at all, mostly due to the fact that one of the biggest names trying to hold them accountable is Trump, and we can't let him be right about anything, now can we?

Sen. Chris Murphy went on the news and pretty much tried to absolve China of any and all responsibility for Coronachan. Then NYT said it should be called the Trump Virus. Then Andrew Cuomo said it was a "European virus".

A clean shift from "They're not telling us everything, the ubur flu is killing him" to "He was faking it all along" in the narrative that chooses to keep the virus scary. Probably will see a bit of "He only survived because he is the president. Why can't we get gibs that good?"

Oh God damn lol. Mad lad isn't even going to give them a whole weeks respite is he? Truly he is our GEOTUS.

I'd be cautious still. If he doesn't get out on Monday, but they want to hold him over until Tuesday/Wednesday for safety, then he'll look bad and the fear-mongering doubles down. It's an expectations game now, and he's currently winning, but it isn't worth risking a loss just for a day's faster headline.

That's true. Trump will also have to go through the standard 2-week quarantine so expect fewer events and a lot more tweeting from Orange Man.
