Him being president doesn't mean he's immortal. He's overweight and has a history of health problems. Unless the white house has a magic pill that cures him I don't see him walking out like nothing happened.
That’s not at all what I said. I was saying he’s on a more aggressive regiment of medication more akin to someone with severe symptoms. Of course his weight and age and publicly known bad diet are factors to consider

Aparrently, Trump is to recover by Monday. Can't wait to see the faces of the people on social media who post things like "hurr durr cheeto orange man drumpf bad die of covid yay".
He's not due to recover by Monday, necessarily; they're only discharging him because they project he'll be well enough that he'll be able to be supported by the hospital equipment already in the WH.

Yeah why couldn’t he be a fit vegan ginger, I bet he’d probably have beaten conavirus in 24 minutes

Trump's pretty overweight, isn't he?
He’s 6’4” and 240, heavy but not ridiculous

Yeah, and part of covid is that you start to feel better and then it comes back harder in a few days. That's what happened with my sister. She felt better one day, worse the next, then better, then it hit really hard.

Again, I am sure he will survive, but him riding in a car is completely stupid given that it doesn't mean anything and it just puts people at risk of exposure.
Is that the sister you've power leveled about refusing to talk to over some arbitrary political disagreement or is this a different one?

Covid isn't having that high of a death rate, although he could get unlucky. You mentioned knowing two people who died, but how old where they? Are you just bucking a trend? I don't know anyone who's died or even contracted it yet. Sure, you see news reports from over the country of the high school basketball champion dying, but these are news for a reason... they are uncommon and heartwrenching.

As it stands, millions of people have had in in the US and sure, 200,000 have died, but most recovered to a point. I'd be more worried about the longer lasting effects, it's still much more likely even for a less healthy person to survive than die.

Of course, even if he's up to a 10-20% death rate, if we are going to play worse case scenario, then though that's still an 80 or 90% chance to survive, but odds you still need to prepare for the worst against.

In some ways it is concerning to know he's being treated so aggressively, but he is also the president so they are far more likely to overdo it to whatever point they think the cure won't finish him off. His health is going to be treated as far more important than your friend's mom's or any other rando. Money and power get you more aggressive care, since plebs just don't have that kind of influence or value.

Again, with all the factors considered, he's at or below a 5% chance of dying from the Kung Flu. Long-term complications are possible, even somewhat likely.

So, is it realistic to be worried about the President's confidence right now, when the illness is still early? Sure. 5% is a higher risk than the typical chances of other causes of fatality for the President, such as assasination, plane/car crash, and stupid luck. A meteor miraculously splattering Trump is a non-zero probability.

So I guess it's depends on how you think of applied probability. Would you trust a plane with a 5% chance of crashing? I wouldn't, myself. Would you invest all your money in a company with a 95% chance of making massive returns? I would, myself.

That’s exactly borderline, he could go down to “overweight” by actually walking the links instead of using a golf cart (I have no idea how he actually gets around the course)

A more accurate definition of obese/overweight/etc can be defined by bodyfat %, but yeah, he's borderline obese assuming his weight and height (6'3, 240 lb) are accurate.

I think he's more like 6'1 since him and Obama were same height, which would put his BMI at 31.7. Overweight, but not like super overweight or anything

1 in 20 people are hoarders. 1 in 20 people have been victims of a crime.

It’s very different to be forced to pick a person at random, or for that person to be President of the United States.

He’s probably realistically at more like 1 in 500

Walking would take a normally 4 hour game and make it an all day game. No way he’s walking around the golf course
