DSP is about to drop the 100% attempt on Crash Bandicoot 4 because he can't get all the bahxes on a particular level. Says he won't be going for collectibles and/or bahxes anymore after this level; he'll just make it to the end of the levels and be done with it.

-EDIT- Aaaaaaand he's done. 100% attempt is officially over.

He has professionally stripped this playthrough of any real challenge by playing the Modern mode and dropping the 100% run. All there is left, is boringly running through the levels. A streamer that actually cared about their audience would have immediately switched to Retro mode after dropping the 100% attempt to at least provide some challenge/entertainment.

-EDIT- And now he's going through the levels while constantly shouting: "WOW, LOOK AT ALL THOSE BAHXES! I COULD HAVE NEVER GOTTEN THOSE! I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE BAHXES!"

Well, the paypigs get what they deserve. Keep giving Phil money and that's what you'll get: a lazy manchild that'll not do anything special to entertain others. First he refused to pick Retro Mode, and now he drops the 100% attempt. Phil really knows how to spite his viewers.

I really don't understand why he is trying to 100% games recently, he never did it for years but now he needs to do it. I remember back in the day he would say fuck you if you asked for 100% runs, but now he is doing it. My theory is that these 100% run elongate games to the point that he doesn't have to buy a new game to replace his current games. Also as he gets older his ego falls to the point that he needs to prove to the young whippersnappers that he is still a hip cool energetic gamer chad that beats games with ease and 100% everything. Also, I feel like his complaining about lag, input drops, games bugs, and other "errors" have ramped up in the past months. He literally complains about these game issues for single and multiplayer games of all genres and consoles. I wonder if he is doing that because his age is impacting his gaming skills, thus blaming games for issues rather than acknowledging he is at fault.

Phil's just taking Homer Simpson's advice: "If something's hard to do, then it's not worth doing."

I don't know I tuned into today's Crash Bandicoot 4 stream and he preformed adequately. I don't know why I have a soft spot for this white boy he alright in my books.
Getting exposed to Phil is like getting exposed to radiation. If it's very sporadic and for a short period of time, you may not feel anything bad. Keep looking at it for long enough, though, and cancer is inevitable.

Phil's gameplay is scheduled for a certain amount of days (for the most part).

For example if Crash Bandicoot takes 5 streams to beat and he wants 8 streams worth of content, he will attempt to 100% and search for secrets up until the point where it would interfere with the schedule.

This is why.

On retro mode, if he gets game over and has to start again, it could take God knows how many streams.

It was rigged from the start. If you know DSP you would know it's always a scam.

If a game is easy, he'll 100% it. If a game brings in viewership/money, he'll 100% it. If a game is neither of these things, "I don't care, it's boring, no one gives a shit."
Pokemon Sword is one of the easiest games ever made, he'll fill out the pokedex. Alottapeepul tune in to his Dark Souls streams so he'll fight all the bosses.
Apparently Crash wasn't made easy enough on Modern mode. Sorry!

This whole "starting off the day in the red" meme really illustrates Phil's incredibly short term financial thinking. DSP could get $1000 in tips on Monday, have $200 of that $1000 charged back Tuesday morning, and he would complain about being behind all day. Hell, you could bet your ass that if he got $200 on Tuesday he would complain about earning nothing that whole day. Instead of being $600 ahead (if you set the baseline at $200/day) he would say he's $200 behind. When it comes to earned income he has the memory of a gold fish.

Question to the older detractors: has there ever been an instance of Phil's paypigs putting their hooves down because Phil isn't giving them what they want? Or have they always been such pussy ass bitches that no matter how much he steps on them, they just keep feeding him their money?
There are very few instances that have been really overt. There are several cases of 'fans' turned detractors, including Tevin and AJ, but that was before the era of known paypigs.

A few general instances have led to some blowback. The wedding and the Jasper reveal both baited the paypigs into giving money only for Phil to reveal he had been lying to them. In both of those cases, contributions afterwards dipped for a while and it was pretty clear that his whales were pissed. The Jasper scam also caused Brian to laugh at Phil on his stream, and I believe one of Phil's mods also said that it was too much for them and quit.

There have been some minor cases that we know of that led to actual confrontations. DJRefund (aka DJRuno) charged Phil back and Phil publicly said that he refunded him the money. I believe it was JaneySaurus, one of Phil's mods, openly confronted Phil during the Dox Harvest, telling him that he needed to denounce BSV for antagonizing the trolls (which he had), and Phil refused, prompting Janey to leave, saying that Phil might not have been able to stop it, but he didn't even make a modest effort to help anyone in the ways that he could. There was the blowout with Swagginz where the cuck actually stood his ground, but he came crawling back. There was the blowout with Tut, but Tut had already given him thousands of dollars by then.

The Champions reveal coincided with a mod discord leak and a subsequent mod purge. We don't know what happened there, but I think they turned on him because they found out it was true and were pissed. The leaks were the only hint that at least one of them wanted some retribution, but it really wasn't much.

And years ago in CT, Phil had a full mod revolt that also resulted in them locking him out of the King of Hate Forums for a while. I think that one may have been related to the scam to raise money for a new camera, but I can't recall exactly what it was that sparked it.

He has never really experienced a consistent pushback for how he has treated them. What tends to happen is that when the paypigs go silent, new paypigs seem to see it as their chance to curry favour and will step in to fill the void until things simmer back down. Some, like Golden Colts, SuperBlindMan and Rob Warren seem to have Phil on mute and just give money regardless of any context.

I think DSP has been plumping up lately, especially around the face and tits areas. His second chin has been looking especially prominent.
He said today during the prestream when someone questioned if his poor health was related to his bad eating habits, Phil popped off and said that he is eating better now than he has in the past few years (take that Leanna). He's visibly looking rougher though.

He also said that he takes a multivitamin, a vitamin C supplement, and a vitamin D supplement. I'm not sure what multivitamin doesn't include C and D already, but I am sure that totally compensates for the fact that turkey hot dogs and macaroni salad are not nutrient rich meal options.

Closest thing would probably be either when he failed to do anything with Project 7 and/or when he refused to play "weeb" games. In both cases, he saw a pretty significant drop in his Patreon. Otherwise, there have been numerous instances where individuals took off (austmink, tut, swagginz(since returned), and lordlamb), but no mass wave that I can recall.

I can't remember what mod was butthurt over the 2k cat scam but they eventually returned, I think?

and the djruno thing was someone pretending to be djruno-posted on his forums talking about charging back and being upset about the goose game, which lead to phil banning the guy from chat lol

There were some good additions in there I had forgotten about! All these paypigs that were king of their day, lost in the sands of time and irrelevancy...

I guess BSV is also worth noting, since he was a mod who ended up here kind of shitting on Phil. I don't think they really had an open fallout though, BSV just got a site ban from Twitch (possibly facilitated by Phil behind the scenes). But he also recently gave Phil money for the vest streak because he thought Phil looked 'cute', so I think that's maybe more about him being an unhinged butler than anything else.

I don't know much about Twitch culture. Are any of Phil's unique channel emotes often used outside of his streams, on other streamers' chats?
